Apparently Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has pin pointed the difference between them and the New York Giants. It’s Eli Manning.
That’s not good to hear if you are Tony Romo.
It also is not the case at all. While I would obviously take Eli over Romo, the Giants are much better than the Cowboys and proved it twice this season. The Cowboys’ secondary is awful, their linebackers are old, and they don’t have as many elite pass rushers.
Still, one wonders what Jerry Jones is thinking. ESPN Dallas writer Calvin Watkins says Jerry Jones followed up the comment by praising Romo, but it seems as though Romo’s job security will be on the line next season.
As for the Giants? They have a franchise quarterback they can count on for at least another good five seasons. Take that, Cowboys.
