Apparently Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has pin pointed the difference between them and the New York Giants. It’s Eli Manning. That’s not good to hear if you are Tony Romo. It also is not the case at all. While I would obviously take Eli over Romo, the Giants are much better than the Cowboys and proved it twice this season. The Cowboys’ secondary is awful, their linebackers are old, and they don’t have as many elite pass rushers. Still, one wonders what Jerry Jones is thinking. ESPN Dallas writer Calvin Watkins says Jerry Jones followed up the comment by praising Romo, but it seems as though Romo’s job security will be on the line next season. As for the Giants? They have a franchise quarterback they can count on for at least another good five seasons. Take that, Cowboys.

  • ESPN,Calvin Walker you write a story which is something I have been saying for count them 6 years! I am a cowboy fan born in the state of texas. You are well i dont even know if your a football fan or not but anyway you end your little story by saying take that cowboys,I have a right to opinuate about my cowboys you on the other hand just sound like a hater to me regaurdless when you make that kind of remark your also taking a shot at the cowboys fans so my bonehead award for 2012 goes to you,how does it feel to be on the losing side bonehead.
  • This just paints the picture that everyone has been describing in Dallas about Jerry's failure as a GM. Really Jerry, you think the only difference is the quarterback? He may not be no Eli but for the most part he had a pretty good year. You can't say that about the defensive backfield, offensive line, defensive line and special teams. Hey, I think I can be a GM.

A sport of heroes, a day of goats

There is nothing in sports as cruel as a game like this, modern-day gladiators pulverizing each other for four hours in the cold and sideways rain, only to watch bystanders decide championships.
