New York Jets
St. Louis Rams
ST. LOUIS -- The NFL's most dysfunctional team played like the team its coach insists it can be instead of the one that stumbled to a 3-6 record prior to Sunday. Dominating most of the last three quarters, the New York Jets snapped a three-game losing streak with a methodical 27-13 win over the mistake-prone St. Louis Rams in the Edward Jones Dome. Quarterback Mark Sanchez was an efficient 15 of 20 for 178 yards and the go-ahead touchdown, a perfect 25-yard throw off play-action to Chaz Schilens with 4:31 left in the first half. Bilal Powell broke the game open in the fourth quarter with scoring runs of 5 and 11 yards, while Nick Folk added a pair of 51-yard field goals. Defensively, the Jets (4-6) gave up an 86-yard touchdown drive on the Rams' first possession and little else until Brandon Gibson's second scoring catch, a 2-yarder with 5:40 remaining in the game. Rams quarterback Sam Bradford completed 23-of-44 passes for just 170 yards with an interception a...

Even though there’s been some speculation that the St. Louis Rams will use their franchise tag on wide receiver Danny Amendola next season, there’s also a chance they decide to move on from him because of how injury prone he’s been lately.
“I think it could be a tough call with him,” one team insider said of Amendola’s future in St. Louis. “He’s been playing like...
Jets keep postseason chances alive with win in St. Louis. After coming off their Bye week and losing big in Seattle, the Jets season seemed to been in a tailspin. With two blowout losses in three weeks (MIA, BYE, SEA) and an article released that supposedly shed some light on a divided locker room, the Jets found an escape at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis."Our guys have...
The New York Jets actually won a game on Sunday. (Yay!) But of course, we can't go a week in the saga of the 2012 New York Jets without the biggest controversy and news story of the NFL season, win or lose. The Jets are basically that one person in your life who can never be happy and depends on drama to surivive like it's oxygen. You know those people. You probably...
Wide receiver Danny Amendola said he was willing to do anything to make sure another NFL game did not end in a tie (Credit: AP Photo)
Last week, the San Francisco 49ers and Saint Louis Rams ended their game in a disappointing tie. After the game, wide receiver, Danny Amendola said he did not think the game was over after the end of the first overtime. Amendola said he was surprised...
4-6 is not the type of record to go celebrating in the Meatpacking District over. The way New York athletes often do after big victories. Ending a three game skid and moving beyond a “Terrible Tim” storm that threatened to derail focus on the Rams is. The Jets win over St Louis has seemingly calmed the Florham Park madness down for the time being but more importantly, has moved...
In the New York Jets 27-13 victory over St. Louis on Sunday, Tim Tebow completed his one and only pass (although calling it a pass is a bit misleading, it was really just a forwarded lateral). Amazingly Tebow has now put up a 100% completion rate in each of the last 3 games he has thrown the ball.
However, his “pass” against the Rams netted the Jets -1 yard, so in reality...
The Rams must win this game against the New York Jets at home. On the road, I could live with a loss, but at home, we must win. The “must” part is not arising from a fantasy that we are a far superior team to the Jets. There are no teams in this league that we outclass by a large margin. Instead, the “must” part of the win comes from how well this games sets up for...
While just about every team in the league got a makeover when Nike unveiled their new NFL uniforms this year, some teams still want to update their look.
For the Rams, that means going retro.
Rams chief operating officer Kevin Demoff said on 101 ESPN on Friday that the team would like to bring back its old white and blue uniforms from the heyday of the Los Angeles Rams. Taking on...
After a tumultuous week filled with antonymous quotes and an alleged in-house divide, the Jets answered the bell in St. Louis, snapping a three-game losing streak with a 27-13 victory over the Rams.
But it wasn't enough for Bart Scott, who failed to let Gang Green escape the Gateway City without an extra dash of drama.
Following the Jets win, the always outspoken linebacker...
Rams wide receiver Danny Amendola left Sunday's contest against the New York Jets with a foot injury.
In the second quarter, Amendola twisted his foot awkwardly and hobbled off the field. He was seen walking to the locker room and his return to the game is questionable.
Amendola, who returned to action last week after missing three games with a collarbone injury, recorded...
New York wideout Jeremy Kerley will be uniform Sunday against the Rams. He had been listed as questionable with heel and hamstring injuries.Fantasy Spin:Kerley sat out practice on Friday but it looks like he'll be a full go Sunday in St. Louis. Fantasy owners have probably learned by now to temper their expectations with Mark Sanchez under center. But just in case it hasn'...
After a three game losing streak, the Jets finally hit their stride in a dominating Week 11 win over the St. Louis Rams.
In Rex Ryan's first season as the New York Jets' head coach, Gang Green overcame two three-game losing streaks and won five of their last six games to make the playoffs and ride an improbable road win streak to the AFC Championship game. Ryan was asked Friday if this year's team, which sits at 3-6, leans on memories of that season for inspiration. "I think from a...
