VS      The New York Jets (2-1) host the San Francisco 49ers (2-1) Sunday afternoon, at MetLife Stadium from East Rutherford, NJ. Game starts at 1:00 pm on FOX (TV) and WEPN (Radio). 49ers favorites over Jets. Spread is -4 points. My pick is the 49ers. This game will be the tougher task of the season as the Jets will take on the 49ers this coming Sunday afternoon. San Francisco has the most scary defense in all of football and the Jets offense could be in for a rough one. Here are the three keys for the Jets in order to win this game: (1) No Darrelle Revis. no problem. This defense shouldn't have a issue against 49ers QB Alex Smith who is a good player, but not an elite player. They can easily stop him and force the 49ers to run the football. (2) Gang Green's offense has to be able to move the ball or it's going to be a very long day for Mark Sanchez and company. They should get Tim Tebow more involved in this game in order to move the f...

QUINTON COPLES: Budding Rookie Ready to Blossom

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- Quinton Coples is a weed. And that's no knock on the sixteenth overall draft pick either. Weeds, like the dandelion, sprout fast -- setting up roots and, if not uprooted, continues to rapidly grow in strength and size.Much like weeds, Coples was not welcomed to many Jets fans' gardens -- instead desiring a prettier pass-rushing plant (Melvin Ingram...

Wilson's tough task: replacing Revis

The New York Jets were 30,000 feet in the air, flying back home from Miami and already planning for their biggest fear. How in the world are they going to replace Darrelle Revis? Revis is likely gone for the season with a knee injury sustained against the Dolphins on Sunday, and Kyle Wilson has the tough and unenviable task of taking over for the All-Pro cornerback. ''...

Jets’ Antonio Cromartie Thinks He’s the Best Cornerback in the NFL

New York Jets‘ Antonio Cromartie is one confident person. Earlier in the season, Cromartie dubbed himself the “second-best wide receiver” on the Jets roster behind Santonio Holmes. And now, Cromartie is labeling himself as the best cornerback in the NFL. It is funny, though, since his teammate Darrelle Revis is considered the best in the league. However, Cromartie thinks...

New York Jets: Darrelle Revis' Injury Will Destroy Rex Ryan's D

Like many great nations, the collapse of Revis Island is detrimental to all of its neighbors. The ability of Revis Island to shut down any enemies was how the cornerback made his reputation. But, like many prosperous nations, the most impressive trait was how he elevated all of his allies.Sure, Darelle Revis can play suffocating man-to-man coverage with the best. And many great receivers...

Jets will keep Darrelle Revis off IR in case they reach the Super Bowl

There is little doubt that New York Jets corner back Darrelle Revis is the best in the league at what he does. The shut down messiah unfortunately suffered an ACL tear last Sunday, presumably ending his season. Head Coach Rex Ryan has different thoughts in that regard, however, and the Jets will keep Darrelle Revis off injured reserve (IR) in case they reach the Super Bowl: “Let’s...

San Francisco 49ers at New York Jets: Week 4 NFL Pick

San Francisco 49ers (2-1) at New York Jets (2-1) Remember how the Jets’ chance to make the playoffs was on the conservative offense, good defense, don’t make mistakes, easy schedule model? Yeah, that doesn’t work if you can’t play good defense and without Darrelle Revis, they’re going to have a hard time doing so many of the things they normally do on defense. They also...

49ers TE Vernon Davis Added To Injury Report With Back Injury

Tight end Vernon Davis, who leads the 49ers with four touchdown catches, was a late addition to the team's injury report with a back injury. That injury did not keep Davis from practicing Friday -- he was a full participant -- and he is listed as probable on the team's injury report. Three 49ers are listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Jets: running...

Rex Ryan hopes Darrelle Revis will be back for the Super Bowl

New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan indicated today that they won’t place cornerback Darrelle Revis on season ending injured reserve just yet, in hopes that he’ll be back in time for the Super Bowl. Rex is awfully optimistic to assume that his team is going to the Super Bowl after only playing three games.  But then again, Revis is the best player on their entire team.

Loss of Revis makes Jets' defensive plan tougher for 49ers to predict

The loss of cornerback Darrelle Revis may weaken the New York Jets defense a bit for their game against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, but it also creates more headaches for 49ers offensive coordinator Greg Roman to try to figure out how the Jets will compensate. Rex Ryan and his Jets defensive staff are known for the variety of looks they throw at an offense, and now they...

Jets Coach Rex Ryan Says Reggie Bush Took His Comments Incorrectly

Don’t get nervous now, Rex Ryan. The New York Jets head coach is backpedaling from his comments he made regarding the team’s defense needing to pour hot sauce on running back Reggie Bush before the team’s Week Three match-up versus the Miami Dolphins last Sunday. Bush took those comments as the Jets tried to take him out and actually ended up leaving the eventually....

Jets Will Keep CB Darrelle Revis Off IR At Least Until Surgery

The Jets will play with a 52-man roster at least until Darrelle Revis completes his surgery for a torn ACL, Conor Orr of the Newark Star-Ledger reports. Ryan does not want to put his Pro Bowl cornerback on Injured Reserve just yet. The reason being: He doesn't want to rob Revis, and the team, a chance of him playing in the Super Bowl. "You know what? And I've talked...
