The New York Jets signed former Detroit Lions cornerback Aaron Berry and waived injured tight end Dedrick Epps. Berry was suspended for three games in August after violating the league's personal-conduct policy and subsequently released by the Lions. He was arrested during the summer on charges of simple assault and suspicion of DUI. Berry's signing could be a a precursor to the Jetts putting cornerback Darrelle Revis, who has a torn anterior cruciate ligament, on season-ending injured reserve. Berry, an undrafted free agent, has played in 11 games over two seasons and made three starts for Detroit. "We feel Aaron has a chance to be successful on and off the field here," Jets coach Rex Ryan said. Epps, a seventh-round draft pick by San Diego in 2010, played in three games with the Jets.

Rex Ryan lashes out at his players, sends team home for two days after 34-0 loss.
To say that New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan is a little upset after losing to the San Fransisco 49ers 34-0 on Sunday is a big understatement. A beyond furious Rex Ryan lashed into his Jets players in the locker room and then opened his news conference with an apology minutes later.
What Ryan apologized for was his language he was ready to use during his description of why...
Rex Ryan gives spicy recipe for Jets 'butt kicking'
An angry Rex Ryan faced the media after his New York Jets were manhandled 34-0 by the San Francisco 49ers sounding more like Chef Ramsey than Vince Lombardi. The slow-boiling head coach opened up his press conference by saying:
"I apologize for my language because I was going to say we got out butts kicked, but we got our asses kicked. Here's a recipe for getting...
Jets have no defense for ugly loss
On Friday, New York Jets coach Rex Ryan invoked the Super Bowl when he explained his decision to leave cornerback Darrelle Revis on the team's active roster, at least for the time being, despite Revis tearing his left ACL last week against Miami.
Ryan is probably safe placing Revis on IR now, though, because after the way his team played in Sunday's 34-0 loss to the San...
San Francisco 49ers vs. New York Jets: Hero and Zero of the Game
Not long after the San Francisco 49ers and New York Jets clashed at the Meadowlands, it was explicitly clear which team prepared their team for victory and the other struggling to find answers. By the end, the sound of victory struck with profundity as the Niners hopped a flight headed west with a 34-0 victory in hand. After a tough loss to Minnesota, the 49ers embarked upon their...
Ryan says Sanchez our guy, Holmes ruled out for week 5
New York Jets’ coach Rex Ryan reiterated during a Monday press conference that Mark Sanchez is their quarterback. “He’s definitely our guy,” Ryan insisted. “I know this is killing him. He’s going to want to respond.”
Many fans have been talking about Tim Tebow, thinking his time is coming since [...]
Why the Rex Ryan era must end
I’ll start this off by saying that Rex Ryan is my favorite Jets coach since Bill Parcells. He’s a great personality, knows how to build a defense, and knows how to motivate his players. The success he had in his first two years as Jets head coach, bringing them to two straight AFC Championship games, was nothing short of marvelous.
However.
Rex Ryan is stubborn. Too stubborn...
Carlos Rogers: The Jets defense didn’t want to play the game
After a week four thrashing of the New York Jets, one would think that the 49ers would be done with Rex Ryan’s group for some time to come.
That apparently is not the case as defensive back Carlos Rodgers continues to taunt the Jets.

Rex Ryan doesn’t rule out bringing in Chad Johnson, Terrell Owens or Plaxico Burress
New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan made an appearance on 98.7 ESPN New York with The Michael Kay Show (via SportsRadioInterviews.com) and was asked if he’ll give Chad Johnson, Terrell Owens or Plaxico Burress a look.

Jets Make It Official-Holmes Done for the Year
Apparently the plethora of MRI results that were sent to numerous doctors have come back to the New York Jets and it is not good news.
As our Senior Analyst, Jon Wilhelm, wrote earlier today, Holmes is indeed done for the year. Head Coach Rex Ryan announced today that the MRI revealed a Lisfranc injury to the foot of Holmes that will require season ending surgery. If you did...
49ers’ Carlos Rodgers says the Jets quit
Jason Whitney49ers’ cornerback Carlos Rodgers said the Jets quit
I’m going to go out on a limb and agree with Carlos Rodgers statement of saying the Jets quit. The San Francisco 49ers’ defense stifled the New York Jets in anything they tried to do. In fact it was the first shutout home loss for the Jets since 1977. Mark Sanchez barely threw for over 10o yards, and the running...

Despite the loss of one of the best defensive players in the NFL in Darrelle Revis and their best offensive player in Santonio Holmes, Rex Ryan still feels the Jets have enough talent to make an impact.
"I think we are a very talented group. I dont think theres any question," Ryan said. "Some of our talent may look different. I think we have a very talented offensive...

Santonio Holmes’ Xray Negative, MRI on Monday
The New York Jets received a 34-0 beat down at the hands of the 49ers on Sunday, prompting head coach Rex Ryan to say, “We got our ass kicked. There’s no two ways, ins or outs about it.”
To add injury to insult, Santonio Holmes left the game after sustaining what appeared to be a knee injury while trying to make a cut. Holmes fell to the ground in pain, while giving up the...

The news is as expected. New York Jets wide receiver, Santonio Holmes, will miss the rest of the 2012 season with a Lisfranc injury.

After New York Jets wide receiver Santonio Holmes injured his foot in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game against the 49ers, many have been wondering just how long he will be off the field for. Well, the initial report is in, and even though the X-rays on his foot/leg are negative it looks like the team will be without their best receiver for atleast the next few weeks.
