Figuring Out The Darrelle Revis Media Game

The following article is written by Joe Caporoso and Chris Gross The primary purpose of this website is to provide coverage of the New York Jets that avoids the headline-chasing garbage that has diminished the quality of work done by credentialed writers surrounding the team. A secondary purpose is to call BS when we see poor excuses for journalism or when there is a clear media...

Jets must push to get Steven Jackson

These are the facts: The Jets had a terrible running game before Shonn Greene joined the Titans. Steven Jackson is still available and the Jets must get him. Rex Ryan consistently promises a return to the ground-and-pound running style that was so effective during the team’s 2009 and 2010 runs to the AFC Championship – but the Jets running game has been in decline since...

Rex’s Sentence – A Gutted Roster With One Last Chance To Impress

For Rex Ryan, it won’t be easy telling the world with a straight face that the 2013 Jets will be the “most talented” team that he has ever coached. Like he did last season, before the spotty 6-10 club showed what they really were. Ryan’s one year sentence for believing, while criminally playing a role in the miscalculating over the past few seasons, is that he will have to...

Jets re-sign K Nick Folk

The New York Jets have re-signed kicker Nick Folk, who opted to stay with the team after being an unrestricted free agent. Folk has been with the Jets for three seasons after signing with New York as a free agent in 2010. He was 21 of 27 on field-goal attempts last season, and 134 for 172 for his career. He spent his first three NFL seasons with Dallas. The team announced the move...

Bucs “willing” to pay Darrelle Revis $16 million?

Slowly but surely it seems reports are starting to agree that a deal between the Buccaneers and the Jets for Darrelle Revis will happen during the owners meetings next week. The initial report claiming it will happen also stated a deal was already in place. Friday, an article published in the New York Daily News apparently has a price tag on that said deal after the amount has been...

The gutting of the Jets continues…Dustin Keller gets one year deal from the Dolphins

If you need further proof that the Jets will not have Mark Sanchez starting at quarterback, just look at the move to let Dustin Keller go to the rival Dolphins. Keller in many respects was Sanchez security blanket in the Jets offense. Sanchez had a comfort level with Keller. When a play would break down Sanchez would fall back to Keller. There has been rumblings of the Jets being...

AP Source: Jets re-sign FB Hilliard to 1-year deal

A person with knowledge of the situation tells The Associated Press that the New York Jets have re-signed fullback Lex Hilliard to a one-year contract. The move Wednesday comes as the Jets have lost a few of their other free agents, including running back Shonn Greene, defensive lineman Mike DeVito and safety Yeremiah Bell. Safety LaRon Landry and tight end Dustin Keller are also...

Running back Mike Goodson joins Jets

The New York Jets have added veteran running back Mike Goodson to their team. Goodson signed a three-year deal worth $6.9 million on Friday. The move provides the Jets with a viable and low cost option at running back. While Goodson has shown flashes of being good he has been buried on depth charts for years. In Carolina he was behind the duo of DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart...
