The New York Jets (5-7) beat the Arizona Cardinals (4-8) 7-6, today at MetLife Stadium from East Rutherford, NJ. This was the most unwatchable game, and yet the Jets won the football game over the Cardinals in a ugly fashion way. Mark Sanchez had the worse game of his entire football career. He wasn't going to survive this game in way shape or form. In the third quarter, Rex Ryan decided to put his 3rd string QB Greg McElroy into the game and he got the team motivated right away. The Jets offense had two great drives when he came in to play and Greg McElory threw the game winning one yard TD pass to Jeff Cumberland. Game Stats: Passing Mark Sanchez had the worse game of his career and there is a chance he won't play next week. He went 10 for 21 with 97 passing yards and threw 3 INT's. Greg McElroy brought spark into the game late in the 3rd quarter by going 5 for 7 with 29 passing yards and one TD pass. Rushing Shonn Greene ran the ball well as he had 24 carries for 104 rushing yards. Bilal Powell had 12 carried for 58 rushing yards. Receiving Stephen Hill caught 5 passes for 40 yards. Jeremy Kerley caught 3 passes for 37 yards. Jeff Cumberland caught the game winning TD pass and overall had 2 catches for 25 yards. Dustin Keller had 2 receptions for 17 yards and he left the game with a high ankle sprain injury. Defense LaRon Landry caught an INT and made 3 tackles. Bart Scott had one sack and 5 tackles. Muhammed Wilkerson and David Harris had a half sack each. Special Teams Nick Folk missed two field goals. Total Stats The Jets offense had 20 first downs, 289 total yards, went 5 for 14 on 3rd down conversions, commited 4 turnovers and had the ball for 38 minutes. The Jets defense allowed the Cardinals to get 5 first downs, 137 total yards, didn't allow Arizona to get a single first down on 3rd downs (0-15) and they onlt gave up 6 points. Final Thoughts As soon as the Jets fans were chanting for "Mc-El-Roy!" in the first three quarters of the ballgame. Rex Ryan needed to make a change at Qb for this game and he did it with Greg McElory saving the day. Although don't be shock if the Jets name Mark Sanchez the starting quarterback next week in Jacksonville instead of Greg McElory or Tim Tebow. Typical Jets if they stick with Mark Sanchez throughout the season. Week 14 (Dec 9th) - The New York Jets (5-7) will play the Jacksonville Jaguars (2-10) in EverBank Field at 1:00 pm on CBS (TV) and WEPN (Radio).

After throwing three interceptions on 21 attempts with zero touchdowns and a fan base that has totally come down on him, the Jets finally pulled Mark Sanchez in favor of second year QB Greg McElroy. McElroy ends suffering under Sanchez

All season long, Jets fans have clamored for head coach Rex Ryan to demote quarterback Mark Sanchez, and on Sunday, they finally got their wish -- even if the guy who finally supplanted the struggling fourth-year starter wasn't the replacement they were hoping for. After nearly three quarters of yet another unfortunate showing by Sanchez, Ryan decided that Sanchez's downward...

I’m loving New York Jets fans this season. They haven’t given up on this team, they just continue to get more passionate. This “Buttfumble” jersey was spotted in the crowd during yesterday’s victory over the Cardinals in which Mark “Buttfumble” Sanchez was benched in favor of Greg McElroy.  McElroy threw the winning touchdown pass in the 4th quarter giving his Jets...

Mark Sanchez Benched for Greg McElroy As Jets Beat Cardinals

Rex Ryan finally figured out what everyone else in the world already knew — if you bench Mark Sanchez, the Jets will win. And win they did. The Jets were trailing 3-0 midway through the third quarter when Ryan made the change from Sanchez...

Without using a ‘little more time,’ Rex Ryan needs to forever shelve Mark Sanchez in favor of Greg McElroy

No Huddle – New York Jets Quarterback Switch Edition

No game this entire season was as exciting as the 7-6 “thriller” was for us yesterday. The exit of a struggling QB and the entrance of an unblemished one, got us up off of our seat and screaming as if it were the 2009 or 2010 playoff runs all over again. Never mind that we were going hoarse over a few meager third and manageable completions. That came courtesy of a guy who had...
