One Jet At A Time:
Center Nick "The Beard" Mangold has been a staple of the Jets O-Line since '06. [AP]
Nick Mangold, listed at 6’4” 307 Lbs., was a three year starter for the Ohio State University Buckeyes. He received second team All-Big Ten honors in 2004 and 2005.
In the 2006 NFL Draft, Nick Mangold was selected in the 1st round, 29th overall by the New York Jets. In the same draft, the New York Jets also selected D’Brickashaw Ferguson with the 4th overall selection. This marked the first time that 2 offensive linemen were selected by the same time in one round since the 1975 NFL Draft.
Nick Mangold would be replacing Kevin Mawae at center during his rookie season. Mangold did such an outstanding job that he was mentioned for Rookie of the Year honors. Normally, offensive linemen don’t get recognized for such an award. Mangold has started all 110 games that he has played in. Nick Mangold has been selected to four Pro Bowls (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011) and three All-Pro te...

The focus on the Jets is always on two things, Rex Ryan and Mark Sanchez. While Ryan invites the attention, I think Sanchez gets way too much blame when it comes to the Jets success. Rex likes to say that this team is built on running the ball and a solid defense. The problem is, they can't run the ball and the defense isn't that great. The Jets have to get better...
The king of the AFC East for the past decade has been Tom Brady. The last two seasons the New York Jets, Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins have all acquired new quarterbacks, hoping that these young players can dethrone Brady.
This season the New York Jets and Buffalo Bills drafted new quarterbacks in the first 2 rounds of the NFL Draft. Last season Ryan Tannehill was drafted in the...
TJ Rosenthal kicks off another week of New York Jets coverage at Turn On The Jets with his weekly No Huddle - Make sure to give TJ a follow on Twitter on Turn On The Jets a follow on Facebook.
The early Rex Ryan era Jets would have ridden the Mark Sanchez vine video, positively or negatively for all it was worth somehow. The John Idzik Jets though, acted the...
“He might have as much talent as any player I’ve ever been around at the corner position. He’s got everything. He’s got the size, the height, the length, the speed, the recovery speed, probably as good ball skills as any corner I’ve been around.”- Rex Ryan, at NFL owner’s meetings in 2010.
A 6’2, 210 pound cornerback out of Florida State goes in the first round, 19th...
Rex Ryan spent part of his summer vacation running from angry bulls.
The New York Jets coach joined thousands of thrill-seekers on Sunday and Monday in the annual running of the bulls at the San Fermin festival in Pamplona, Spain.
The team confirmed Monday that Ryan was uninjured while participating both days in the run, which is the highlight of a nine-day street festival and...
Antonio Garay used to scoot around San Diego in a little, red Smart Car with huge Hello Kitty faces decorating each door.
The funny photos of the former Charger and current New York Jets nose tackle squeezing his 6-foot-4, 320-pound frame into the attention-grabbing but environmentally friendly vehicle were all over the Internet a year ago.
But, new Jets teammate Quinton Coples...
New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan is over in Spain running with the bulls as he gets ready for another NFL season.
I’m sure Rex figured that running from bulls that way thousands of pounds can only help him continue to lose more weight.

The post Rex Ryan running with the bulls in Spain (Photo) appeared first on Pro Football Zone.
New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan has a knack for saying and doing some outrageous things. This photo of him posing with a group of three others after running with bulls serves as further evidence.Apparently, Ryan tried his hand at running alongside a massive group of horned monsters in Pamplona over the weekend, and managed to escape unharmed. It's official. Ryan is a little crazy.Via Deadspin
New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan, who has continued to lose weight, ran with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain. Never thought I’d see the day when Rex Ryan went running with the bulls, especially if you saw how he looked on Hard Knocks in 2010.
New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan has to have some serious you-know-whats to stand in front of the New York media with the way his team has played over the past couple seasons. How does he prepare himself for something like that? I guess running with the bulls is a decent place to start. [...]
BY NICK ST. DENISDee Milliner was a true freshman at Alabama in 2010 when then-senior Greg McElroy was the starting quarterback.Milliner, however, started 11 of 13 games as a newbie, which likely gave him plenty of reps going against McElroy in practice. After being selected by the New York Jets in the first round of this year's draft, the cornerback will have another opportunity...
We all knew New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan was in Pamplona, Spain to run with the bulls, but now we have found the photos to back it up.
Rookie cornerback Dee Milliner is quickly realizing he's not in Tuscaloosa anymore, but former Crimson Tide teammate Greg McElroy is making the Jets' newcomer feel right at home.
General Manager John Idzik came into the Jets organization promising change promoting competition during training camp. With the departure of Brandon Moore, who will fill the gap at right guard for New York?
