Will Rex Ryan and the New York Jets use quarterback Tim Tebow at running back this weekend against the New England Patriots? (Credit: AP Photo) It is no secret that the New York Jets organization has been through some struggles. The loss of crucial players such as Darrelle Revis to injury, the dysfunction between players and coaches and the issues at quarterback, have not only hurt them on the field, but off the field as well. During the summer, around the nation and especially in New York, the media attention was focused on the New York Jets after acquiring former Denver quarterback, Tim Tebow. Even though Jets head coach, Rex Ryan, made it very clear that it was not the intention, there was speculation that starting quarterback Mark Sanchez may lose his job. With week seven and a crucial game against a division rival approaching, there is a new thought in Jets country, what to do with Tebow?  In an article on USAtoday.com, Ryan was quoted saying “The thing about Tim, with him being a football player like we’ve always talked about, by playing quarterback he knows all the positions. So can we plug him in at running back? Can we plug him in at tight end? I think the answer is yes.” While Tebow has lined up at running back, it was merely for blocking purposes.  Ryan believes that he can start any position and I’m sure Tebow fans would love to see more of him on the field. Sunday they take the field against the New England Patriots and we will see how this Tim Tebow is. Based on what we’ve seen of Tim Tebow, I’m positive he can play running back. Although they are sitting at the top of the AFC East with New England, they are sitting at 3-3 on the season. This game against the New England Patriots is an important one. If Tebow at running back can get the team a win then, Rex Ryan, you gotta do what you gotta do.   By Katherine Warren Editors note: We’d like to welcome Katherine to the team here at Sports-Kings.
