Found November 07, 2012 on NY Sports Nut:
I’ve never been a fan of Tim Tebow, but I respect what he accomplished at Florida and that he is an incredible leader. I just don’t think he can be an effective quarterback for the New York  Jets, or anyone else for that matter. However, that doesn’t mean I think he can’t contribute to this Mark Sanchez-led offense. Especially with the loss of Santonio Holmes and the struggles that the running game has been having, a solid dose of Tebow could be good for the Jets. The hybrid player brings an aspect to New York that most teams don’t possess, a player that can run or pass. Tim Tebow’s 2012 statistics through the first eight games: 23 carries for 78 yards with no touchdowns or fumbles Three pass attempts, two completions for 32 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions In four of the games Tebow received only one or two carries and he attempted one pass in three separate games. He has converted all three of his fake punt attempts into first downs. Tebow is a very underrated runner as he possesses great vision and runs with power. However, he hasn’t been given any sort of consistent playing time to get into a rhythm. I’m a firm believer in momentum and that’s something that the coaching staff hasn’t handled appropriately with their two-quarterback system. My Plan for Tebow When the Jets send their offense onto the field to start a game Mark Sanchez should be the only quarterback in the huddle.  Except for a punt, Tebow shouldn’t even step on the field on the first drive. I think it’s important for Sanchez to start the game and have the chance to develop a groove without Tebow getting in the way. After the first offensive drive of every game the coaches need to evaluate how it went. Clearly, if Sanchez drives right down the field and scores a touchdown he should stay in the game without interruption. However, when Sanchez struggles and it’s the middle of the game, Tebow deserves an entire drive to himself. The Jets put themselves in this situation so they might as well play Tebow and see how it goes. On the other hand, if Tebow goes down and scores a touchdown, that doesn’t automatically anoint him the starting quarterback. He is just there to provide a spark when needed and throw in some trick plays. Last season the Jets were the second most efficient team in the NFL in red zone scoring at over 65 percent. This season the team has fallen under 50 percent and isn’t in the top half of the league. Tebow could provide a boost in that category as he has a nose for the end zone. He could even line up as a running back to take a hand-off which would help keep the defense guessing. It doesn’t matter if the Jets want to run their base offense or the Wildcat when Tebow is in the game, the point is that he needs consecutive snaps to develop a rhythm, just like Sanchez. Tim Tebow’s Offseason Workout Choices May Have Hurt Chances at Being Starting Quarterback

Coming into the NFL, Tim Tebow was a long shot to be a starting quarterback. But he took over for Denver last year and appeared to make progress — until this offseason, when he may have hurt his chances at a permanent starting job even more. Most critics would agree that the area where Tebow needs help is his throwing motion. He takes a while to wind up to pass, resulting in fumbles...
