TEAMS: New York Jets
Baltimore-ravens-miami
The Jets front office reportedly has three names on their list, and one of them will possibly be their next offensive coordinator. After the expected firing of Tony Sparano, the team has narrowed their choices down to former Ravens offensive coordinator Cam Cameron, former Eagles offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg and Bengals assistant Hue Jackson, according to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News. Jets' offensive coordinator list includes Cam Cameron, Marty Mornhinweg and Hue Jackson, per sources. #nyj — Manish Mehta(@MMehtaNYDN) January 12, 2013 It's intertesting to note, as PFT's Mike Florio points out, that all three are former (and fired) head coaches, which brings into play the possibility that things don't go too well in 2013 and Rex Ryan gets the ax mid-season. Either candidate's head coaching experience would then come in handy. As the team's coaching search narrows, the Jets' GM search looks to be expanding with the scheduled in...

Ex-Jets assistant calls Tebow situation a mess

Add recently retired special teams coach Mike Westhoff to the list of people chiming in on the troubled season of the New York Jets and their use of Tim Tebow. Speaking on Miami radio station 560 WQAM on Friday, Westhoff, who spent 15 years as a special teams coach with the Dolphins before serving on the Jets staff the past 12 seasons, called the situation "an absolute mess...

Westhoff says Jets' handling of Tebow was a 'mess'

Mike Westhoff, the Jets' recently retired special teams coordinator, tells a Florida radio station that the way the team handled Tim Tebow was ''an absolute mess.'' Westhoff tells WQAM in south Florida on Friday that he was ''very, very disappointed'' in the Jets' lack of use of Tebow, the popular backup quarterback acquired last March to...

Jets assistant labels Tebow situation 'an absolute mess'

Retiring New York Jets special-teams coordinator Mike Westhoff called the situation with quarterback Tim Tebow a nightmare. "It was a mess, it was an absolute mess," Westhoff told WQAM radio in Miami. "You can say whatever else you want, it was really a mess. I was very, very disappointed. "As an NFL quarterback, he's very limited in some things. And if...

Jets will reportedly interview Stanford’s offensive coordinator

According to Bruce Feldman of CBS Sports, the New York Jets will interview Stanford offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton on either Monday or Tuesday. Feldman also says he’s in the mix for a couple of other NFL offensive coordinator jobs.  I’m sure if Hamilton has a choice, he would choose the other teams over the Jets who are a mess right now.     Need NFL Tickets? var _CI...

Tim Tebow’s Brother Shows Off His Christian Faith After Peyton Manning’s Loss

His brother can’t start for the New York Jets, yet Peter Tebow found time to relish the troubles of Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos. I’m not big on the Bible and His teachings, but isn’t the above tweet unbecoming of a good Christian man? (Peter got a preaching gig in suburban Denver because of his last name.) Oh, I get it, Tim Tebow was 1-0 in the playoffs for the Broncos...

New York Jets having problems finding new general manager

Try as they might, Jets can't seem to find a new GM.

Stanford offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton makes half-court shot

Safe to say it’s been a pretty busy week- and busy month overall- for Stanford offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton. Reports surfaced on Friday that Hamilton is set to interview for the vacant New York Jets offensive coordinator position sometime in the coming days, a mere two weeks after he helped the Cardinal beat Wisconsin 20-14 in the Rose Bowl. As one of the brightest young...

Report: Jets Can’t Give GM Job Away

The Jets mess as I like to call the New York Jets organizational downfall in 2012, is still hilarious even though we have entered the off-season stage of it all. After the Jets fired Mike Tannenbaum, it was assumed that shortly after Rex Ryan returned from his vacation there would already be a general manager in place, and the team would prepare for the 2013 season and the changes...
