The Jets are expected to place Revis on injured reserve, which
will free up a roster spot, following his procedure. Coach Rex Ryan admitted
that his initial hope of having Revis back for the Super Bowl will no longer be
a possibility after he undergoes surgery.
Revis sustained the injury during the Jets’ Week 1 matchup with the Miami Dolphins. His absence represents a huge blow to New York’s
defense, as he’s widely considered one of the top corners in the NFL.
