The Jets have not expressed the interest that most have predicted regarding newly released LB Adalius Thomas.  Currently the interest in the former Patriot is being cited as “minimal”

Three possible reasons for this:

1. The Patriots released him. While you may think this would motivate Thomas to have a great year, if he were still the player he was in Baltimore, he would still be a Patriot, good attitude or not.  Belicheck keeps players (see: Moss); he drops oldies.

2. Jets signed Jason Taylor. I will say it again; Do you think the Jets regret signing JT?  The signing of Taylor has had a couple of effects already; 1. The Jets drafted Kyle Wilson over Sergio Kindle; and 2. The Jets have no immediate desire to pick up another contract at a position which already features Taylor, Pace and Bryan Thomas.

3. Salary. Like it or not, the Jets are keeping their dollars for next years free agents like Revis and Mangold.
