Jason La Canfora reports that the Jets intend to sign a free-agent running back at some point Tuesday.
La Canfora adds that Steve Slaton and Khalil Bell are both in town for workouts, but Slaton figures to have the upper hand given that he played with Jets OC Tony Sparano while in Miami.
Bilal Powell suffered a concussion recently and Joe McKnight is dealing with an ankle sprain, so it’s really not that surprising to seem them looking for some additional depth at running back.
