The good news for the New York Jets is that they cannot embarrass themselves on the field this week. Bye weeks generally guarantee that. The bad news is, well, everything else surrounding this team. The Offense -The offense can’t move the ball and can’t get in the end zone. It’s one of those nightmares that for some reason, you can’t wake up from. It has come to the point that when the offense comes on the field, I start panicking. The running game is just so terrible. I have said many times that I believe that Shonn Greene’s phenomenal performance during the Indianapolis Colts game was a one hit wonder. Sometimes, I really hate it when I’m right.… Read more

New York Jets: Must Fire Rex Ryan To Salvage Season

Yes, I know Darelle Revis is out for the season.Yes I do recall that Santonio Holmes is injured and out for the year as well. And yes I do know that the New York Jets have a tough schedule.Enough with the excuses. Every team has hardships. It's called life. But if the Jets want to salvage their season they need their head coach Rex Ryan, whom I shall refer to as "Disaster...

Can ‘all in’ work for the Jets?

Rex Ryan’s ‘all in’ speech came the day after the New York Jets suffered an embarrassing 30-9 loss to their divisional rivals at home. The loss dropped the Jets to 3-5 and sidelined their playoffs hopes. “We have to be all in,” Ryan said. “The only chance we have is we are 100% all in and let’s put it out there. If we don’t play better you can forget about anything...

Bush responds to Jets, Cromartie

Reggie Bush responded to the Jets and specifically Antonio Cromartie, who called him a "punk" after the Dolphins beat the Jets on Sunday.

Doug Williams again says Bucs wanted to trade for Sanchez

There has been a much publicized rift between the Buccaneers organization and former  front office executive Doug Williams. While making an appearance on the Ron and Ian Show on 620 WDAE Thursday morning, Williams stuck to his words he once said about the Bucs initial draft day plan before drafting Josh Freeman.  “When Josh came out, i was probably one of the two people in the...

New York Jets: Hanging On a Wing and a Prayer

Heading into the Bye week the New York Jets have too many questions to answer and it doesn't seem like they are prepared to answer those questions.Starting at the quarterback position all the way to the punter, the Jets have more issues than most teams in the league. Will they make the changes that need to be made or will they continue to try and tell us the same old answers?When...

Rob Ryan Emulates Rex Ryan While Guaranteeing Win Over Undefeated Falcons on Sunday Night

We all know that Jerry Jones is in charge of the Dallas Cowboys, but sometimes it's difficult to tell who's second-in-command. Defensive coordinator Rob Ryan was acting like Dallas' head coach on Friday when he guaranteed a victory over the undefeated Atlanta Falcons. Typically it's up to head coaches -- like Ryan's twin brother Rex Ryan -- to...

Rob Ryan: Cowboys will beat Falcons

Cowboys defensive coordinator Rob Ryan pretty much guaranteed that his team would take down the undefeated Atlanta Falcons.

Vick, Romo, Sanchez a trio bland

There was a time not too long ago when having Mike Vick, Tony Romo or Mark Sanchez as your quarterback was considered living well in the NFL. Now it is like the sports version of marry, boff, kill. If you had to choose one to build your franchise around, one to win a single game and death is not an option (neither is abstaining) whom do you go with? Be careful with quick answers...

Bills Plan To Find A Young Franchise QB

When the Bills made the decision to lockup QB Ryan Fitzpatrick to a seven-year, $62 million contract after only a 4-2 start to the 2011 season, it was met with some warranted concern. Since then, Fitzpatrick has lead them to a 5 – 12 record that was highlighted by a completed unacceptable interception that cost them a win over the Titans. Bills GM Buddy Nix seemed to suggest...

Fantasy Football Week 9 Preview: Dolphins at Colts

Miami: The Dolphins come off a thorough beat down of the NY Jets in New York that has most Jets fans clamoring for the Rex Ryan bandwagon exit. Not like losing to the Dolphins is terrible considering they’ve been surprisingly good; however, the Dolphins crushed them so badly that it had to be demoralizing. With the way the Colts are playing lately, don’t expect the Dolphins to...

Jets Should Be Honest With Themselves

The Jets are 3-5 and already, some outlets like the NY Post have already begun to envision mounting losses and a head coach on the hot seat. We won’t go to that extreme yet. So much can change week to week in the NFL. Even for a team that was as putrid as Gang Green was last Sunday. What the Jets brass ought to do with this bye week is begin to better assess and accept what they’ve...

Turn On The Jets 12 Pack, Week 9 – Bye Week Predictions

The Turn On The Jets 12 pack went 7-1 throughout the first half of the year predicting the outcome of New York Jets games. Here are 12 predictions for the second half of the season as we take a weekend to regain our sanity after a disappointing first half - 1. Let’s get the record out of the way first. Siding with optimism and a hope that this team won’t quit on Rex Ryan, I think...
