Jets backup quarterback Greg McElroy said he was surprised that he became national news in January after he made critical comments about the Jets locker room in a radio interview. McElroy tried to clarify what he meant at an appearance Friday. He said people heard only snippets of a 30-minute interview in which he said plenty of positive things about the team. "I mean, I think it just started going out of control and really what I was trying to say was I was trying to reinforce the fact that I had so much faith in the organization, McElroy said at Dwight Morrow High School in Englewood, N.J. I thought we would have a great year the following year because of everything we'd learned from. I have full faith in (coach) Rex Ryan and full faith in (GM) Mike Tannenbaum. I love being part of this team and I love being part of the Jets organization, it's a first-class organization from top to bottom and I'm so, so fortunate to be a part of it." Shortly after last season ended, McElroy told radio station 97.3 The Zone in Alabama that the Jets had a corrupt mindset in their locker room and extremely selfish indviduals. "It's definitely not a fun place to be, I can assure you, McElroy told the station. "Its the first time I've ever been around extremely selfish individuals, and I think thats maybe the nature of the NFL. But there were people within our locker room that didnt care whether we won or lost, as long as they got their ... they really had good games individually. That's the disappointing thing, and it's going to take a lot to kind of come together."

New York Jets Draft Quinton Coples
With Melvin Ingram, Chandler Jones, Courtney Upshaw and David DeCastro still on the board. The New York Jets continued their perplexing off-season by selecting North Carolina defensive end Quinton Coples. Of all the pass rushers on the board, Coples had the most question marks about him and does not have the versatility to play major reps at outside linebacker. Both Mike Tannenbaum...
New York Jets select Stephen Hill, Grade A
The New York Jets needed to upgrade their receiving corps, and they got a guy who can make an impact immediately and who also has a ton of upside.
Stephen Hill has the potential to be an immediate deep threat, and should play a role very similar to the one Torrey Smith played in Balitmore as a rookie last year. Like Smith, Hill has a long way to go before he’s a polished product...
Would the New York Jets Trade Mark Sanchez To Get Richardson In Draft?
The New York just reported as late as this morning the team doesn’t think they stand a chance at getting Trent Richardson, even thought the Jets really want him. The Jets people said this A.M. they don’t think they can do it unless they get one sweetheart of a deal. The New York Jets Twitter Account Congratulated Every Other Team On Their Picks Last Night! Even the Pats!
This is despicable! Who ever was responsible for tweeting out congratulations last night to each and every NFL team on their draft pick should be locked in a cold basement with only a keg and a sleeping-bag for 3 nights.
The tweet that seems that sticks out as the most horrid is the one to the Patriots. Why would you even acknowledge anything that your biggest rival does? ...
2012 NFL Draft: New York Jets Roll The Dice On Coples
The Jets drafted one of the biggest question marks in the draft with their first pick—Quinton Coples. Physically, Coples is a beast. He’s fast and huge and he does, of course, have the potential to be a solid player in the NFL. However, he’s not a great fit for Gang Green and he’s too much of a risk at Pick 16. Despite his size and speed, Coples, isn’t always too...
Tim Tebow Spells R.I.P.For The J-E-T’s Season
Trading for Tim Tebow was purely a football move…just like Kim Kardashian marrying Kris Humphries was purely for love. This is the notion that Jets brass has been trying to sell football fans for weeks, but no one’s buying it. What Gang Green fans are buying however, is a multitude of “15” jerseys and those hallowed PSL’s – which is exactly why this trade was made in...
Rex Ryan in Same Coaching Class As Bill Belichick
Bill Belichick vs. Rex Ryan who is really better?
Ok so I wrote this because I’m getting tired of everyone saying how bad of a coach Rex Ryan is. So I thought who better to compare him to then the best Head Coach in the NFL. I’m going to go over quite a few things such as regular season wins, playoffs wins, and how both coaches made it to where they are at today. I will...
Jets select DE Quinton Coples 16th overall out of North Carolina
With the 16th overall pick, the Jets select DE Quinton Coples out of North Carolina.
GM Mike Tannenbaum finally gets a pass rusher. The Jets needed a DE so badly since they lack depth in that position.
Quinton Coples will give the Jets a strong finisher who will give opposing teams a hard time.
He has excellent athletic ability and there is a strong chance he become something...

Jets Select North Carolina DE Quinton Coples (Rd.1, No.16)
With the 16th overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the New York Jets select Quinton Coples, DE (North Carolina). Coples was on the radars of NFL scouts long before the 2012 NFL Draft. Coples possesses a rare combination of size, speed, athletic ability and versatility, having played numerous roles across the defensive line. Some have questioned his consistency, but Coples still has...
Saints Select Wisconsin WR Nick Toon (Rd.4, No. 122)
With the 122nd overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Saints select Wisconsin WR Nick Toon. The son of former New York Jets star Al Toon, Nick stands at 6-foot-2, 215 pounds, and plays to that size. Toon might not run past many NFL defensive backs, but his overall awareness at the position, understanding of how to play to his strengths and effectiveness in the run game make him...
