Jets safety Kerry Rhodes poured even more gasoline on his team's rivalry with New England when he said Wednesday that he not only wants to beat the Patriots in Sunday's home opener, he wants to "embarrass'' them. He said Thursday that his quote was taken "a little bit'' out of context. But the five-year veteran didn't recant his statement."We don't want to just win, we want to beat them bad,'' he said Thursday. "We want to send a statement. So if you can take it that way, it's the same.''When asked about Rhodes' remark, coach Rex Ryan seemed taken aback but said he didn't have a problem with it."I think they just want to win,'' he said. "Our franchise has been embarrassed eight straight losses at home. You'll have to ask Kerry if that's what he meant, but that's probably where that tone was coming from.'' Greene a go?
