After last offseason’s high profile acquisition of Tim Tebow failed to generate any spark in the offense (and tended to indicate that the decision makers in the organization had no idea what they were doing), the New York Jets once again find themselves looking for answers at the QB position in unlikely places.  Given that their salary cap situation is dire enough to consider trading Darrelle Revis, this time around, the Jets are shopping in the bargain bin.  Fortunately for them, there’s one guy out there who’s primed for a comeback (according to him). That’s right, the New York Jets have at least discussed the possibility of signing JaMarcus Russell, according to The Star-Ledger.  Take it away, Conor Orr: More recently, after Tannenbaum was let go, members of the organization had some very exploratory, informal discussions regarding former Oakland Raiders quarterback JaMarcus Russell, the 2007 No. 1 overall pick who flamed out of the NFL after the 2009 season.
