The Pittsburgh Steelers released veteran offensive lineman Willie Colon earlier in the week, but it didn't take him long to find work as Adam Shefter of ESPN reports via Twitter on Friday that the New York Jets have signed Colon to a one-year, $1.2 million contract.
The signing could wind up being a bargain for the Jets if Colon is able to shake the injury bug that has bitten him the last three seasons. Injuries to his Achilles, triceps and knee resulted in the Steelers former fourth-round draft pick to start just 12 games over the course of the last three seasons.
