NFL Trade Rumors:
Jason La Canfora reports that the Jets have reached an agreement with former Steelers OL Willie Colon on a one-year deal.
New Jets GM John Idzik has done pretty well today adding two players with good upside for a reasonable price. We still haven’t seen the figures for Colon’s contract, but it’s doubtful he’ll receive much in terms of guarantees.
Colon, 29, looks to be a replacement for free agent G Brandon Moore, who has been a very solid lineman for the Jets in recent years. If healthy, Colon should be an adequate replacement.
It wouldn’t be shocking to see them target another offensive lineman in free agency or the draft.

Former Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Keenan Lewis took to Twitter on Thursday evening after signing with the New Orleans Saints to say that he will miss the Pittsburgh fans and that the Steelers didn't offer him a deal to return.
So there you have it, the Steelers didn't even try to retain Lewis. Unless general...
It’s been reported by numerous outlets today that Pittsburgh Steelers’ wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders is in Boston today visiting with the New England Patriots. Earlier this week, the Steelers tendered Sanders a lower than expected offer. Should Sanders sign with the Pats or any other team for that matter it would bring the Steelers a third-round compensatory draft pick.
Plaxico Burress made it clear to Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin and general manager Kevin Colbert at the end of last season that he wanted to be playing for the Steelers in 2013.
“I told them Pittsburgh was the only place I wanted to be,”
Wednesday wasn't as busy of a day around the AFC North as most of the splash was made on Tuesday. There were a few moves in the division, however, and here is your recap of day two.

The New York Jets have re-signed kicker Nick Folk, who opted to stay with the team after being an unrestricted free agent.
Folk has been with the Jets for three seasons after signing with New York as a free agent in 2010. He was 21 of 27 on field-goal attempts last season, and 134 for 172 for his career. He spent his first three NFL seasons with Dallas.
The team announced the move...
The New York Jets have flown under the radar so far in free agency, but they've filled a few important voids in the process.Gang Green acquired former Pittsburgh Steelers offensive guard Willie Colon Friday before adding some depth on the opposite line by picking up ex-San Diego Chargers defensive tackle Antonio Garay. New York was in the market for an offensive frontman to work...
NY Jets Futility, since the glory days of Namath and Weeb Ewbank, can be traced back to bad decisions made by management since that by gone era ended. The poster child for bad decisions is the draft class of 1983, yes the very one that produced the "Year of the Quarterback" class.A draft called so because of the six quarterbacks chosen in the first round that year.Interestingly...
It seems as if we have conflicting reports about Pittsburgh Steelers restricted free agent wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders, who visited with the New England Patriots on Friday.
Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that Sanders has signed an offer sheet from the Patriots and that the Steelers now have to make a decision as to whether or not they want to match it or receive...
As the Darrelle Revis trade circus continues, the Bucs continue to waste time and opportunities to land other free agents. And after the latest report from the New York Post, it sounds like Tampa Bay should just move away from Revis island.
Brian Costello of the New York Post writes:
The Jets are not committed to trading Revis as has been reported, The Post has learned. According...
Might as well bring in Donovan McNabb, JaMarcus Russell and Vince Young too. The Jets seem to have no clue what is going on with their QB position.
Just hold open tryouts at the park, that would be my suggestion.
The person, who spoke to USA TODAY Sports on condition of anonymity because the talks were to remain private, said Kolb is likely headed elsewhere and that the New York...
The New York Jets needed a fast running back who can catch. One who isn't too expensive. They found him. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have emerged as the favorite to
acquire New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis, and the team’s management is
now “fully on board” with a trade involving the All-Pro, according to Jason Cole
of Yahoo! Sports.
Cole notes that, at this point, the holdup is what the Jets
are willing to accept in exchange for Revis. Tampa Bay doesn’t want to
