A couple of years ago, Travis LaBoy was considered an emerging pass rusher in the NFL. The Cards thought so much of the Titans' former second-round pick that they signed him to a five-year, $22 million contract at the start of free agency in 2008. Things went badly for LaBoy. He got off to a good start, but injured his biceps, underwent surgery, got cut after only one season in 'Zona and sat out the '09 season. Tonight, LaBoy is in New Jersey, having dinner with Jets officials. Tomorrow, he will visit with the rest of the organization. LaBoy (6-3, 250) has recorded 23.5 sacks in five seasons, having started 32 games. He made six sacks for the Titans in '07, and that was enough to attract some real interest in the free-agent market. He was a starter for the Cards, but got hurt late in the year and missed out on their Super Bowl run. In the Jets' scheme, LaBoy probably would be a situational pass rusher.
