On Friday, the NFL announced that tight end for the New York Jets, Kellen Winslow has been suspended for four games for violating NFL policy by using performance enhancing drugs. Earlier today, Winslow was excused from practice after the news of the use of PED’s was made known.  The tight end was seen as doubtful for Week six when the Jets take on the Pittsburgh Steelers because on an injury.  The player has been suffering with a knee injury and hasn’t been getting much practice with the team.  He has been playing behind Cumberland and falling behind him in snaps. For the first five games Winslow has had 17 catches for 169 yards and two touchdowns, but he has continued to be plague by his injury and has seen a reduced role for the Jets. With Winslow out of the lineup, the Jets will move forward with tight end Jeff Cumberland.  The team has also signed former Patriot Zach Sudfeld after he was released and will be counting on him for Week six. The tight end will be able to return to the team on Monday, Nov. 4th, a day after the team takes on the New Orleans Saints.
