The New York Jets have parted with a 4th round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, in exchange for Saints RB Chris Ivory.
Ivory had been subject to much trade speculation, as he has shown much talent and promise in limited 'go's' in the Saints offense. With such a crowded backfield with Pierre Thomas, among others, the Saints were willing to deal the newly re-signed Ivory.
The Jets will be getting a back that is arguably better than anyone left on the board. Ivory has averaged 5.1 yards per carry in his young 3-year career, along with 1,307 rushing yards and 8 TD's.
Ivory was brought onto the Saints roster as a UDFA in 2010.
