Jets head coach Rex Ryan told reporters that Mark Sanchez will get the start for Week 17′s game against the Buffalo Bills, per Manish Mehta. Greg McElroy reportedly experienced headaches while lifting weights on Thursday, so Ryan decided to hold him out of this week’s game as a precautionary measure. Ryan added that; “Obviously Tim [Tebow]‘s not happy with that.“ Just in case you thought the drama was finally over in regards to the Jets’ quarterback position, Sanchez gets another opportunity start. Ryan must feel that it’s almost impossible to have Tebow prepared to play against Buffalo. This could end up being Sanchez’s final start for the Jets.
