With the Combine in full swing, Thursday was a busy day on the NFL docket, as a multitude of coaches and general managers were made available to the media.
Among the bunch was Rex Ryan, who, as we all know by now, isn’t shy about letting his feelings be known.
The humbled Jets head man touched on the team’s forgettable 2011 campaign, their bevy of in-house issues, and, of course, everyone’s favorite topic these days — Peyton Manning.
And much to the delight (or chagrin) of Gang Green fanatics, Ryan didn’t do much to dispel the Peyton-to-Jets rumors, vaguely sidestepping questions when asked about the Hall of Fame-bound quarterback.
“Are you talking about my son? Or some other Peyton?” Ryan said. “First off, Peyton’s under contract to a different team so I can’t talk about him specifically.
