It looks like 49ers Colin Kaepernick has hotter hands than Alex Smith. Jim Harbaugh stated today that Kaepernick will get the start when San Francisco takes on the St. Louis Rams.  During a talk today Coach Harbaugh said ”The rationale is we have two quarterbacks that we feel great about as a starting quarterback. ‘Both have earned it, both deserve it.  Alex over a long period of time. Colin by virtue of the last three games. It tips the scales. Colin we believe has the hot hand. We’ll go with Colin. And we’ll go with Alex. They’re both our guys.” So it still seems that Harbaugh is not making a definite commitment on either quarterback. I guess it a good thing to have two great options as they approach the playoffs.  Colin Kaepernick’s threw for 231 yards and one touchdown pass, ran for a touchdown, and threw one interception against the Saints. The 49ers defense stepped in as well scoring two touchdowns. With two strong performances Colin is proving he is a strong candidate as a starting QB in the NFL. We will see how he fairs on Sunday against a team they tied with last meeting this season. You still have to wonder how the 49er locker room will handle this decision. Many players are saying the right things and not giving anything that the press can blow up in the media.
