Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck looked good during this past weekend’s rookie minicamp, but now it’s back to school for the first overall pick. He still has two classes to finish up that will be officially completed on June 7th, which means he’ll be forced to miss 10 days of OTA’s with his teammates. “I have a job now. This is what I love to do,” Luck said. “If I could, I would devote 100 percent of my time right now to be the best football player I can be, the best quarterback for this team. “But I’m not going to let 31/2 years of school go to waste. I’m going to try to finish strong.” Colts owner Jim Irsay has offered Luck his private jet if he needs it to get around to private workouts with teammates Reggie Wayne and Austin Collie. “I’ll definitely use whatever means of transportation,” Luck said. ”especially if it’s Mr. Irsay’s stuff. Absolutely.”

Andrew Luck can’t use Jim Irsay’s jet

According to ESPN via Mike Chappell of the Indianapolis Star, rookie quarterback Andrew Luck won’t be able to use Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay’s private jet in order to get around to private work outs with his teammates.  It would violate the rules of the new CBA that was agreed upon last year. So it looks like Luck will have to get around the old-fashioned way.  He...

Luck heads back to Stanford with work to do

Andrew Luck will continue his studies - on and off the field - after his final day of rookie mini-camp. League rules do not allow the Colts' new quarterback to return to the team complex until he finishes classes at Stanford. That will be June 7. Luck expects to be in Indianapolis the next day for offseason workouts but is planning to attend graduation ceremonies in Palo Alto...

Draft Grades: Indianapolis Colts

The Colts clinched a solid grade from this draft class the minute the regular season ended. But new GM Ryan Grigson took their development to a new level with a strong draft class which should allow this team to emerge as contenders again in the not-so-distant future. Obviously the addition of Andrew Luck was franchise-changing move. He’ll step into a starting role from day one...

Pac-12 teams preparing for big changes come fall

David Shaw noticed it everywhere he walked on the Stanford campus this spring. Since Andrew Luck was drafted No. 1 overall by the Indianapolis Colts, the buzz surrounding football has faded. Getting students - and even his players - focused on the future has been a challenge with so much of the attention revolving around the departure of the two-time Heisman Trophy runner-up. Shaw...

Colts Owner Jim Irsay Can't Use Plane To Help Andrew Luck Work Out

On Monday morning, we noted it was a little odd that Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay offered his private plane to help his top pick Andrew Luck fly around the country to work out with teammates while Luck finished up his degree at Stanford. (Luck can't work out with the team again until June 7.) It turns out it was a little more than awkward, it was against league rules. Mike...

Denver Broncos’ rushing attack will go from first to worst under Manning

Let’s face it. Low rushing totals are a byproduct of the pass-friendly league that is now the NFL. Teams pass so much now that it seems like they sometimes forget to run the ball. This is especially true of teams that have a signal-caller the quality of a Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers or a Drew Brees. Manning who usually called his own plays as quarterback of the Indianapolis...

Former NFL K Gary Anderson's Son Austin Anderson In Colts Camp

Austin Anderson of McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, is in rookie camp with the Indianapolis Colts this weekend, according to the Indianapolis Star. The significance of that is that he is the son of long-time NFL kicker Gary Anderson, who kicked for 23 years in the league with the Steelers, Eagles, 49ers, Vikings and Titans. Austin Anderson is hopeful that he can show enough...

Hot News for RB Joseph Addai

Patriots sign veteran running back Joseph Addai

Veteran running back and former Indianapolis Colt Joseph Addai agreed to a deal with the Patriots on Saturday. The 29-year-old Addai, along with Ryan Grant and Tim Hightower, all worked out for the Patriots on April 20. Addai is coming off a hamstring injury  that limited him to 12 games last season and isn’t a lock to make the Pats roster, as he’ll be joining a young...

Dwight Freeney: Not Like LeBron

Indianapolis Colts defensive end Dwight Freeney has made it known he wants to finish his career with the franchise: “I’m kind of old school when it comes to that thought,” Freeney told Alex Marvez of Sirius XM Radio. “I’m not LeBron trying to leave the team. I’m more like the era of Magic and Lawrence Taylor, who stayed with that same team for their entire careers win...

Joseph Addai to the Patriots: Fantasy Impact

The powerhouse New England Patriots solidified their running back position with the signing of veteran Joseph Addai formerly of the Indianapolis Colts. Addai is competent in pass protection and has shown a penchant for getting in the end-zone when given the opportunity boasting two double-digit touchdown seasons. Addai’s signing looks to be more of the veteran insurance variety...

Luck seeks credibility

He was drafted first overall but clearly knows he's looking up a mountain with the veterans. Andrew Luck knows his place: "I'm definitely at the bottom of the totem pole," the top pick in the NFL Draft told reporters Friday. "(I'm) trying to digest all the info first and build up a little credibility for myself." The former Stanford quarterback said...

Dolphins QB Tannehill More NFL Ready Than Fellow Rookies Luck and RG3?

The Miami Dolphins drafted Texas A&M quarterback Ryan Tannehill with the No. 8 pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. He was the third quarterback taken in the draft, behind the top two overall picks in Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck to the Indianapolis Colts and Baylor signal caller Robert Griffin III to the Washington Redskins. Many people are high on Tannehill because of his upside...

Better Fantasy Option: Andrew Luck or RG3?

. Indianapolis’ Andrew Luck and Washington’s Robert Griffith III will forever be compared because they went one and two in the 2012 NFL Draft. While I think they will both be solid fantasy options, both long-term and short-term, there will be a decision to make on the quarterbacks in both dynasty and re-draft leagues. All that said, who do I prefer?. That is an excellent...
