For the past two weeks, things between Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay and Denver Broncos quarterback, Peyton Manning, have been awkward.
Many thought things were finally calmed down after the two teams met on Sunday Night Football, which ended with the Colts giving the Broncos their first loss of the season. However, it looks like there’s a new chapter in this crazy feud in which Manning isn’t taking part in.
After the Colts defeated the Broncos on Sunday, the owner gave a speech to the team that was captured by NFL Films and aired on Wednesday night on Inside the NFL.
Speaking to the team in the locker room after the game, Irsay said:
“That other guy next door (Peyton Manning), is one of the greats and I have nothing but gratitude towards what he’s done for this team,” the owner said. “But today is today.
