It has been one of those years for Jim Schwartz and the Detroit Lions, a sub par season, players getting in trouble on and off the field, and troubled receiver Titus Young.
Young may be the biggest pain in the butt to Schwartz, at least Ndamukong Suh may be a pain in the stones, (no pun intended) but he doesn’t try to sabotage his team.
Young has fallen out of favor with Schwartz for insubordination and trying to sabotage the Detroit offense. Young was placed on the IR for the remainder of the year, but Schwartz had to send a parting shot to the fallen but promising receiver.
Schwartz said Young will have knee surgery: “Unless he doesn’t show up for it.” Ouch.
The Lions deactivated Young on Thanksgiving Day for behavior detrimental to the team, which led to a split among the coaching staff.
