After getting the Detroit Lions first win in Washington, D.C. against the Washington Redskins in 78 years, Lions head coach Jim Schwartz threw his head set emphatically. It almost looks like Schwartz thought they lost based on the look on his face. A good way to follow up a bad road loss against the Arizona Cardinals is to pull out a win against a solid opponent.

ALLEN PARK, Mich. - His job is probably on the line this year. His team was coming off a loss the previous week and trying to end a 0-21 drought in Washington.
So when a Hail Mary pass fell incomplete on the games final play, Detroit Lions coach Jim Schwartz reacted with a little attitude. A fist pump was immediately followed by Schwartz spiking his headset to the ground.
Some seriously stupid things happened in the stupid but awesome NFL this past weekend. Let's summarize... The stupidest fumble-related rule Robert Griffin III was driving the Washington Redskins down the field in the fourth quarter when he slid awkwardly after clearly giving himself up at the end of a first-down run. He fumbled and hadn't been touched, so the turnover...
Detroit Lions defensive tackle Jason Jones is out for the year with a left knee injury.
Jones ruptured his left patella tendon in the second quarter of the Lions' 27-20 win over the Washington Redskins on Sunday.
Jones was carted off after a pass play with 5:55 remaining in the first half.
Jones signed with the Lions as a free agent in March. The 2008 second-round draft pick...
Undrafted rookie tight end Joseph Fauria of the Detroit Lions is making a name for himself with his touchdown dances.
Fauria mimicked the moves from 'N Sync's "Bye, Bye, Bye" music video when he scored Sunday in a 27-20 victory at Washington.
Add Joey Fatone, the former 'N Sync member, to Fauria's growing list of fans. Fatone tweeted his approvalMonday...
Lions receiver Ryan Broyles (knee) will be active for the first time this season Sunday against the Redskins, according to the Detroit Free Press.Fantasy Spin:Pat Edwards is out with an ankle injury, so Broyles is active for the first time since tearing his ACL last year. Although he has a great matchup against the Redskins, fantasy owners should hold off on playing him because it...
Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon came out and stated what has been painfully clear, Robert Griffin III isn't fully healthy. The bigger question is after what happened in the 2012 playoffs, is the coaching and medical staff risking his future for an 0-3 start.
Modell’s may have seen a spike in Ryan Kerrigan jersey sales, and they can thank an associate who goes by the name of Marty Huggins.
The Redskins linebacker went undercover as “Marty” at the sporting goods store, and while his physique had some customers questioning his identity, he went unrecognized during his sales associate tenure. Instead, his time was filled with promoting...
According to Mike Jones of the Washington Post, Redskins safety Brandon Meriweather and kicker Kai Forbath are questionable for Sunday’s game against the Lions. Both players will be evaluated early on Sunday to determine their status’.
The Redskins have monitored Meriweather for concussion-like symptoms all week long. He practiced in a limited capacity on Wednesday and Thursday...
Washington Redskins receiver Pierre Garcon says quarterback Robert Griffin III is ''a lot different'' this year.
Garcon said Monday that Griffin is ''not fully healthy, obviously.''
Said Garcon: ''He running a little bit more, but last year's RG3 was a lot different than this year's RG because of his knee. It's not surprising...
It wasn’t hard to see this coming. The Redskins threw the papers an easy alley-oop here. It’s still funny though. Unless you are a Redskins fan.
Not to let facts ruin a good joke but RGIII has thrown for 975 yards so far this season. The defense has given up well over 1000 yards in three games.
According to John Keim of ESPN.com, Redskins tight end Fred Davis has been listed as questionable with an ankle injury.

Davis did fully participate in practice all week, so it sounds like he injured his ankle during Friday’s practice.
Detroit running back Reggie Bush says he will play against Chicago in Week 4.Fantasy Spin:The Lions tailback tried to get the team to let him play this week, but they played it cautiously and made him inactive. Joique Bell did a good job as his replacement, rushing for 63 yards and a score and catching four balls for an additional 69 yards in the Lions win over Washington.
Just a week after saying that quarterback Robert Griffin III has been slowed down by the bulk of his protective knee brace, Washington Redskins wide receiver Pierre Garcon now says that Griffin is "not fully healthy, obviously", according to the Washington Post.“He’s running a little bit more. But last year’s RGIII was a lot different from this year’s RG because...
Detroit Lions tight end Joseph Fauria has been working on his touchdown celebration moves. This week he brings us N'Sync's "Bye Bye Bye" dance.
Stats don't lie. And neither do disgruntled Redskins fans. The Washington Redskins have essentially scrapped their 2012 identity for the sake of preserving their quarterback. But was this offensive face-lift worth it? Here are the Stats: The Redskins in 2012 were ranked No. 1 in the NFL in rushing attempts at 33.5 per game. So far in 2013, the Skins are ranked 27th in the NFL...
