Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt is the best defensive lineman in the AFC in only his second year in the league in 2012. In only 11 weeks of action, Watt has recorded 14.5 sacks and is 1st  in total sacks in the AFC. That is an enormous accomplishment for any defensive player, but for a defensive end in the 3-4 defense, that type of impact is amazing. 3-4 defensive ends typically are used in run support and to set up the linebackers to make all the plays.
