Now is not the time to enter the NFL as an unsuspecting quarterback or left tackle. The NFL is ripe with young pass rushers who have entered the league the last few seasons. And there are still plenty of veterans still well within the prime of their careers. The NFL is experiencing a revitalization of the pass rusher, and there are some impressive names in the college ranks as well. The 2011 draft alone brought Von Miller, Aldon Smith, J.J. Watt, Robert Quinn, Ryan Kerrigan and Justin Houston into the league. This season, rookies Bruce Irvin and Chandler Jones are already shining with their new teams, and the league hasn’t even seen players like Jadeveon Clowney, Bjoern Werner, Barkevious Mingo, Jarvis Jones and Dion Jordan who will enter the league in 2013 or 2014. While those players have all the potential in the world, veterans like Terrell Suggs, Jared Allen, Julius Peppers and Geno Atkins are still getting after the quarterback at a torrid pace. Players are coming from all over...

Austin, Scandrick hurt for Cowboys vs. Redskins

Cowboys receiver Miles Austin has left the Thanksgiving Day game against Washington because of a right hip strain, and cornerback Orlando Scandrick injured his left forearm. The Cowboys said the return of both players was questionable. Austin came down hard in the back of the end zone on the opening drive of the game when he took a hit from linebacker London Fletcher on an incomplete...

DeMarco Murray’s Status For Week 13 Still Up In The Air

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones told reporters that he’s still unsure as to whether or not RB DeMarco Murray will be able to return for Week 13′s matchup against the Eagles. “We can’t get a prognosis that another week’s rest will do anything,” said Jones following Thursday’s win, via ESPN Dallas. “It’s all depending on how he pushes off.” Murray has missed numerous...

Jerry Jones doesn’t know if the Cowboys can win 8 games

After today’s crushing loss to the Redskins, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones isn’t even sure if his team will win eight games this season. “All I can do is just sit here and look at the numbers,” Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said, per the Fort Worth Star- Telegram. “I can’t enthusiastically say that our odds, because I don’t know what New York’s going to do. Rob Ryan on RG3: He’s special, but I don’t like him

Almost exactly one year ago, Rob Ryan drew criticism for his remarks about Tim Tebow and the (former) Broncos offense. True to his character, Dallas' defensive boss turned his attention to this year's sensational signal-caller. In advance of the Thanksgiving day tilt between the Redskins and Cowboys, Ryan said he doesn't like Robert Griffin III, but also admitted he...

Jerry Jones Not Sure Cowboys Can Even Get To 8-8

The Dallas Cowboys waited until the middle of the 3rd quarter yesterday to finally show up and play against the Washington Redskins, and the result was another bad loss at home, and a chance to deem themselves a player in the NFC playoff race. Instead the Cowboys are 5-6 and looking at possibly needing 5 straight wins to even have a shot at a postseason birth. Cowboys owner Jerry...

As it stands right now, there are eight teams in the NFC with a realistic chance of making the playoffs, with six weeks left in the season. The problem is; there will be a maximum of four spots available for those eight teams.Just two weeks ago, I would have said the New York Giants were a lock to win the NFC East, but with consecutive losses to the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati...
