Houston Texans linebacker J.J. Watt isn’t missing his former teammate and current Bills defensive end Mario Williams now that he’s no longer playing along side him week in and week out.

“I’ll miss him in the locker room, but not on the field,” Watt said of Williams, according to ProFooballTalk.com via NFL.com.

I don’t think Watt is ripping Williams in any way.  He probably just believes in the guys they have on the team and believes they’ll be fine with out him, which is true.

At the end of the day, Williams wasn’t a great fit for a 3-4 defense anyway, it’s best for him to have his hand in the ground as a defensive end.

Williams blasts replacement refs

Mario Williams was upset with the job the replacement officials did during the Bills blowout loss to the Jets. He had some harsh words for the crew.

Texans’ J.J. Watt picked up Dolphins’ snap count from HBO’s “Hard Knocks”

It was only a matter of time. Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt said he picked up the Miami Dolphins’ snap count by watching HBO’s “Hard Knocks.” Watts made the revelation during an interview with NBC Network’s “Pro Football Talk.”
OH SNAP!

'Hard Knocks' gave away snap count?

The Texans' J.J. Watt claims he was able to pick up a few things about Ryan Tannehill and the Miami Dolphins from watching the HBO reality show.

J.J. Watt Says Watching 'Hard Knocks' Helped Texans Defense Against Dolphins, Maybe More Than Mario Williams Could Have

Hard Knocks is a guilty pleasure for many NFL fans, as it goes deep inside an NFL training camp showing all of the good, bad and ugly from behind the scenes. But apparently one NFL player took away much more than just drama and entertainment from the five episodes this season. J.J. Watt, who emerged as a solid pass rusher for the Texans during last season's playoffs, says he...

Mario Williams rips replacement officials

Mario Williams is expected to have a major impact in Buffalo this season. On Sunday, he was a nonfactor. The man the Bills signed to a $100 million contract over the offseason had only one tackle. The Jets completely had their way with the defense Williams is supposed to anchor this season, smashing the Bills 48-28. Naturally, it was the replacement officials’ faults that Williams...

Does Mario Williams Have A Point?

Week one couldn’t have gone any worse for the Bills. They get hammered by the New York Jets 48-28, lose David Nelson and Fred Jackson to knee injuries, and their so-called “improved defense” was seemingly replaced by a bunch of high schoolers pretending to be NFL players. And it didn’t get better after the game. During his post game press conference, defensive end Mario...

No preseason, no problem for Watt

By CHRIS DUNCAN AP Sports Writer HOUSTON (AP) -- Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt was simply trying to catch passes with his one good arm a few days after dislocating his left elbow early in training camp. He vowed to be back by opening day. He not only returned, but he made a major impact, deflecting two passes that produced interceptions in the Texans' 30-10 win over...

Rodney Harrison rips Mario Williams, says “he’ll probably fall off the face of the earth”

Former NFL safety and currentl NBC Sports analyst Rodney Harrison joined the Pro Football Talk on NBC Sports Network. Harrison made it clear that he believes Bills defensive end Mario Williams should have taken less money to play for a winning team. “They’re not very good,” Harrison said.  “They don’t have a franchise quarterback.  The Patriots will always dominate that...

New Buffalo Bills defense, same bad Bills from last year

The Buffalo Bills defense last season was atrocious and with the new additions of the huge signing of Mario Williams, Mark Anderson this last offseason and Dave Wannstedt as the new defensive coordinator taking the Bills defense from a 3-4 to a 4-3 were moves going to make the Bills better this season. Everyone blamed the 3-4 defense, as the reason for the poor play of the Bills...

Watt is Tannehill's Daddy

One went to Wisconsin and another went to Texas A&M. One has the keys to the franchise as the "People's Choice" and the other just plays hard nosed defense for a Super Bowl contender.Ryan Tannehill's debut Ends on a sour note with 3 interceptions and zero touchdowns.  Tannehill although kept is uniform slightly clean, did not improve on some of the key adjustments...

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly: Dolphins Edition

The Houston Texans opened up their regular season yesterday against the Miami Dolphins at Reliant Stadium. The Dolphins, with rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill, came into this game hoping to do to the Texans what Mark Sanchez did to them his rookie season and win his first career football game. It’s obvious that the Texans remembered that game and were not about to allow it to...

Talk junk when you can back it up

Let's be honest here, the majority of WNY thought the Bills were going to run over the Jets. We talked trash about them. Alright...I talked trash about them. We didn't respect them. We didn't respect their QB. We didn't respect Tebow. We thought Stevie had #24's number. We thought Mario Williams was going to eat the Jets' D-line alive. We'd rather...
