Found November 30, 2012 on State of the Texans:
According to reports Houston Texans defense end J.J. Watt was fined for a Thanksgiving hit on Detroit Lions quarterback Matt Stafford. He was docked $15,750 by the NFL for what look liked a legal hit. Some questions come into to play, like was it an illegal hit? He wasn’t flagged during the game, but it was enough to draw a fine.   You take a look and See for yourself                                                     You can follow Patrick on Twitter.  He is the Editor of State of the Texans.

J.J. Watt continues to dominate the AFC

Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt is the best defensive lineman in the AFC in only his second year in the league in 2012. In only 11 weeks of action, Watt has recorded 14.5 sacks and is 1st  in total sacks in the AFC. That is an enormous accomplishment for any defensive player, but for a defensive end in the 3-4 defense, that type of impact is amazing. 3-4 defensive ends...

The Texans need to figure out what's wrong with their defense. Week 13 preview.

The Texans won the last two weeks but, not by much.  They need to figure out what's going on with their defense if they want to make a playoff run. After an average Thanksgiving week of picks I'm sitting at 114-63.  I need to step my game up as we sprint to the postseason. Jacksonville at Buffalo - Chad Henne is proving that he can play QB in the NFL.  I...

Five Texans Already Ruled Out or Sunday

The Houston Texans have already ruled out Brooks Reed (Groin), Derek Newton (Knee), Jonathan Joseph (Hamstring and Groin), Antoine Caldwell (Hamstring) and Bradie James (Hamstring) for the Sunday game against the Tennessee Titans. Texans not backing down as injuries increase

HOUSTON -- Suddenly the Houston Texans are broken. Not as a franchise, and not their season. Not metaphorically broken. Actually broken. Like with injuries. Out for Sunday's game against Tennessee are cornerback Johnathan Joseph, linebacker Bradie James, linebacker Brooks Reed, right offensive tackle Derek Newton and guard Antoine Caldwell. But that's only the surface of...

According to multiple sources, the former 8th overall pick (2010 NFL Draft) is set to “no longer” be a Raider.   These tweets came out about McClain and his recent comments.   Former Bama LB Rolando McClain no...

Shaky pass rush hasn't slowed Texans

(Eds: APNewsNow. With AP Photos.) By CHRIS DUNCAN AP Sports Writer The Houston Texans defense was a major hit, literally, in its first year under Wade Phillips, finishing the 2011 season with a franchise-record 44 sacks. Statistically, this year's defense stacks up well with last year's unit, and defensive end J.J. Watt has emerged as one of the NFL's top pass rushers...
