After some off-season personnel changes the Houston Texans' defense set out to show the rest of the NFL that last season's dominance was no fluke. With returning defensive stalwarts like J.J. Watt, Brian Cushing, Connor Barwin and Glover Quin, the Houston Texans began the 2012 regular season by hosting the Miami Dolphins at Reliant Stadium. The Houston Texans' defense showed some lethargy during most of the the first quarter against the Miami Dolphins; however, with about six minutes to go in the period the defense came alive. Shaking off the early listlessness, Watt and the defensive unit began to show why they were the NFL's second-ranked unit during the 2011 season by dominating the Miami Dolphins for the remainder of the contest.Watt showed no ill effects from the pre-season elbow dislocation as he terrorized Miami Dolphins' rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill. Watt managed to bat down four of Tannehill's passes, with two of those batted passes resulting in...

ESPN has a new segment at halftime called “Soundtracks” and tonight they showed a clip of Texans running back Arian Foster talking trash towards a no-name Dolphins player. It’s pretty entertaining. Check it out below.
The Houston Texans started the 2012 season in odd fashion and it took less than 2:03 of game time in the second quarter and turnovers for the Texans to down the Miami Dolphins. The day was highlighted by the Texans hanging their first banner from the rafters of Reliant. That put a reminder of the magical 2011 season that fans will soon not forget.
It took some time for the Texans...
The Houston Texans opened up their regular season yesterday against the Miami Dolphins at Reliant Stadium. No NFL Fantasy Football owner wants to lose their first game of the season. Just like no NFL team wants to lose their first game of the year either. Arian Foster is expected to play in the season opener vs. Miami, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
While this is good news, Schefter also noted that the Texans want to test his ailing knee in pre-game warmups before officially clearing him for battle though.
HOUSTON (AP) -- Wide receiver DeVier Posey, cornerbacks Brandon Harris and Roc Carmichael and quarterback John Beck are among the inactive players for the Houston Texans in Sunday's opener against Miami.
Posey is the Texans' third-round draft pick out of Ohio State. Beck won the No. 3 spot on the depth chart in training camp, ahead of undrafted rookie Case Keenum.
RELIANT STADIUM – The Texans, with high expectations, opened the 2012 season by routing the Miami Dolphins 30-10. Albeit the first quarter was comparable to a chess match, the Texans’ strengths far outweighed the Phins’, which is ultimately what led to the victory.
