Found October 04, 2012 on State of the Texans:

Today Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt was named AFC Defensive Player of the Month for September. Watt has been something for opposing offenses to worry about, and in the early part of the 2012 season he has been a treat to watch.

#Texans DE @jjwatt had 7.5 sacks, 20 tackles, 10 TFL & 5 passes defensed in 4 September games

Through 4 games, @jjwatt (7.5) is already more than halfway to Mario Williams’ #Texans single-season sack record (14.0)

#Texans DE J.J. Watt’s stats over his last 8 games: 40 tackles, 12 sacks, 17 QB hits, 16 tackles for loss, 9 batted passes, and a pick6.

Congrats to Watt on the early season accomplishment.
