PLAYERS: Joe Flacco
TEAMS: Baltimore Ravens
During a press conference yesterday after arriving in New Orleans, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco was asked about next year’s Super Bowl in frigid New York. Flacco answered by saying the idea is “retarded.” During today’s media day session, Flacco took the time to apologize. “Obviously, it was a bad choice of words. I wish I hadn’t said it,” the Baltimore Ravens’ quarterback said Tuesday during Super Bowl XLVII Media Day. “I have a great relationship with Special Olympics back in Baltimore and have had one for many years. I didn’t mean to offend anybody, but I definitely apologize for it.” I’m sure Flacco meant nothing by it, but it wasn’t the best word to use at the time.   Need NFL Tickets? var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI.counter + 1 : 1; document.write(''); script.type = 'text/javascript'; var _CI = _CI
