The latest quarterback to bring the city of Baltimore a Super Bowl victory will play a Charm City legend in an upcoming film. Joe Flacco will portray Johnny Unitas in the final scenes of the movie Unitas We Stand, according to the Baltimore Sun. The scene will depict the Colts’ 1958 NFL Championship Game victory. Filming is set to start in late July, though production is being planned around Flacco’s football schedule. Unitas’ son, Joe, wrote the script and is co-producing the film. The movie has a projected budget of $12.8 million. “Obviously, the Baltimore ties are very important to me,” Unitas’ son said about the decision to cast Flacco. “I think it’s great that Joe just won the Super Bowl with the Ravens and was Most Valuable Player in the game.
