According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, contract talks between the Baltimore Ravens and quarterback Joe Flacco’s reps will ramp up after the Super Bowl. Flacco’s reps have told Rapoport that they believe he’s playing better than Broncos’ quarterback Peyton Manning who’s currently earning $8 million per season.  He expects Flacco’s agents to shoot higher than Manning’s current deal..     Need NFL Tickets? var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI.counter + 1 : 1; document.write(''); script.type = 'text/javascript'; var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI.counter + 1 : 1; document.write(''); script.type = 'text/javascript'; script.src = 'http://widget.crowdignite.com/widgets/27484?_ci_wid=_CI_widget_'+_CI.counter; script.async = true; ref.parentNode.insertBefore(script, ref); })();

Joe Flacco might soon cash in on his Super Bowl run. The Baltimore Ravens quarterback hopes to negotiate a new contract that will pay him $20 million per season, according to multiple media reports. Such a deal would put him in the financial ballpark with two one-time Super Bowl winners: Peyton Manning, who has a five-year, $96 million deal; and Drew Brees, who has a five-year...

This post season Joe Flacco has been making great decisions on the field, but his comments off the field about next year’s Super Bowl might come back to bite him. When asked, the Ravens’ quarterback proceeded to rip the idea of a cold-weather game as reported be the NY Post. “I think it’s retarded,” Flacco said at yesterday’s press conference before catching himself...

Flacco no fan of cold-weather Super Bowl

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco apologized for his word selection in criticizing the NFL's decision to hold next year's Super Bowl in an outdoor stadium at a cold-weather site. On Monday, Flacco was asked about the game being played at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. ''I think it's retarded. I probably shouldn't say that. I think it's stupid,...

Denver Broncos traded Kaepernick away

John Elway and the Denver Broncos traded the No. 36 pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. Now, that No. 36 pick represents the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII. The Broncos also had the second pick in the draft, where they selected linebacker Von Miller, who was named the NFL’s Defensive Rookie of the Year. So it wasn’t a complete loss. It was the first draft for John Elway who...

Eli Manning Face Great Regardless Of Setting

In the first half of the Pro Bowl, Eli Manning threw a pick-six to Derrick Johnson, one of the many Pro Bowl selections from the Chiefs that people have been complaining about, leading to the above Eli sulk face. With the Pro Bowl in jeopardy, Peyton Manning has been lecturing players about acting like they care so future players don’t lose the bonus or the Hawaiian vacation. Eli...

NFC blows out AFC in Pro Bowl

HONOLULU (AP) -- Sack-happy defensive end J.J. Watt went out for a pass as a wide receiver, retiring center Jeff Saturday snapped to two Mannings on opposite teams and the NFC blew past the AFC 62-35 in a Pro Bowl that could be the league's last. Whether the NFL's all-star game will return or not is a question league officials will ponder the next few months. And, the players...

Adrian Peterson Says He ‘Will Get’ MVP Award, But Peyton Manning Doesn’t Like Him Campaigning at Pro Bowl

Stiff competition doesn’t happen too often at the Pro Bowl. But this year, with the two main contenders for the MVP award suiting up for opposite sides, the game has extra intrigue. Adrian Peterson and Peyton Manning both had solid years after coming back from injuries that appeared likely to limit — if not end — their careers. They’re now the frontrunners for the league...

Ed Hochuli Makes Light Of The Grandeur Of The Pro Bowl

As Ed Hochuli will flippantly tell you, there are lots of things in the Pro Bowl that closely resemble football, penalties being one of them. Probably not a great sign for the future of the game when the lead official is openly mocking it. Peyton Manning would be so disappointed, but he’s too busy getting choked up about taking one last snap from Jeff Saturday. Either way, it was...

2013 Pro Bowl provides memorable moments

The future of the Pro Bowl is uncertain following yesterday's all-star event. Its fate will be decided over the course of the coming offseason, and there's no specific timeline in place for the commissioner and the NFL to make a decision about the possibility of a Pro Bowl in 2014, but that shouldn't take away from yesterday's game, which gave us plenty of entertaining...
