Back in 2009, Joe Montana made big news when he put his 500-acre Northern California spread on the housing market with an asking price of $49,000,000. Unique price, eh? Flash-forward to 2012 and Montana is still trying to sell that house. New price: $35,000,000. What changed with the house in three years to drop the price $14mm? Gophers? Bad olive crop? Windstorm took out trees?
None of those, from what we can tell. What makes more sense is that Montana is trying to sell a 3-bedroom house for $35mm. Do the math. Imagine the guilty lump in your throat every time you think about living in a house with an average bedroom price of $10mm, or $27,397 per night/room for 365 days. Helluva hotel.

Tom Brady seemingly is the best quarterback left in the NFL playoffs. I’d have to say either Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers are the two best quarterbacks in the NFL. The memories of that improbable afternoon of Jan. 20, 1991, are still fresh for Jeff Hostetler, the former Giants backup quarterback who overcame the odds to beat Joe Montana's two-time defending Super Bowl champion 49ers in the NFC Championship Game at Candlestick Park.
There are moments in a sports fans life, more importantly, a football fans life which define them and the team they follow. For fans of the San Francisco 49ers those instances have come in abundance over the last 30-years. Bill Parcells likes this 49ers team, says it reminds him of his 1990 Giants who charged into Candlestick Park and ruined the three-peat dreams of the Joe Montana 49ers in the NFC Championship Game and went on to win their second Super Bowl against the Bills.
But he also likes...
