Joe Theismann urges patience with Redskins quarterback

Joe Theismann will be in the analyst’s seat during the Redskins preseason, which starts on Friday night. As part of his preparation, he told Yahoo! Sports Radio, he asked for a graphic listing the Redskins’ starting quarterbacks since 2000. There have been 12 of them: Brad Johnson, Jeff George, Patrick Ramsey, Danny Wuerffel, Shane Matthews, Tony Banks, Tim Hasselbeck, Mark Brunell, Jason Campbell, Todd Collins, Donovan McNabb and Rex Grossman. “A dozen,” Theismann said. “A dozen in basically 10 years, they’ve had 12. And I think since my injury in ‘85, I think that number’s like 27.
