According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, New Orleans Saints interim head coach Joe Vitt called NFL commissioner Roger Goodell on Wednesday morning to tell him that he never offered anyone bounty money and the allegations against him are false.

Vitt also told Goodell that he’s willing to take a line detector test in order to prove his innocence.  He’s also willing to sign a sworn affidavit that he was never involved in a bounty program.

“They’re lies,” said Vitt, per Schefter.  ”What is on that paper (shown to NFLPA and media) is false. How can anything else on that paper be considered?”

Saints Nation: Time to Move On as Fans from "Bountygate"

Something I've done in the painstakingly long "bountygate" process is accept that Roger Goodell is going to get his way, live with the fact that the Saints will be without numerous key coaches, front office members, and players, and just move on.
