Joey Galloway brings experience, leadership to Redskins' WRs

There was no mistaking newly-signed wide receiver Joey Galloway among the large number of wide receivers who were in the Redskins' minicamp last weekend. Not with a salt-and-pepper beard that gives away the age of the 38-year-old wideout entering his 16th season in the NFL. Signed to a contract shortly after the team's first minicamp last month, Galloway'provides another veteran voice and more experience to a unit that has lacked a proven threat behind No. 1 receiver Santana Moss. What Galloway's precise role in the offense could be has not been made clear. Right now he could be considered the No. 4 receiver behind Moss and third-year wideouts Devin Thomas and Malcolm Kelly. The veteran said coaches have not discussed with him the specifics of what his role could be. "Not at all," he said. "No, it's strap on my helmet, go out there and get to work."
