ATLANTA - SEPTEMBER 20: John Abraham #55 of the Atlanta Falcons enters the field to face the Carolina Panthers at Georgia Dome on September 20, 2009 in Atlanta, Georgia. (Photo by Kevin C. Cox/Getty Images)
The Atlanta Falcons sack leader from... well, pretty much every year of recent memory, is still a free agent after he was unceremoniously let go along with a lot of other highly paid veterans months and months ago.  The now free agent has spent those months unemployed.  He quickly jetted off to Seattle and San Francisco, was linked to New Orleans and has been in talks with the Titans. Abraham went to his infrequently used twitter account where he talked to a few random followers around 5 or so in the morning.  Some highlights after the jump. Lets start off with recent talks with the Titans.  Those talks are apparently slow. One thing from yesterday I hadn't mentioned yet: Talks between John Abraham & #Titans are in a "stall." Not dead. No one moving quickly — Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) June 4, 2013 The market for free agents has been unusually slow, and Dwight Freeny gained employment only after Melvin Ingram tore his ACL.  Camp is quickly approaching and Abraham is apparently giving teams "sticker shock" while asking to play at least 60% of the defensive snaps. Many fans, myself included, would love to see Abraham come back to Atlanta and finish off his career in red and black, likely as a purely situational pass rusher.  It doesn't sound likely anymore. Asked about his free agency, Abraham had this to say: @bindasandy 31 teams except one guess who I'm not chasing — John Abraham(Mr.100) (@ymeynot100) June 5, 2013 It is no secret Abraham was unhappy being let go, but if you held on to any hope of 55 returning to Atlanta after he had some time to move past receiving his walking papers and reaching a slow market, now is the time to let that hope go.  Abraham confirms as much in other tweets that he is still holding a grudge... and certainly sounds like he will not consider bids from Thomas Dimitroff.
