Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reports that free agent DE John Abraham is not considering retirement, despite posting some cryptic tweets on Saturday. Abraham posted “Retiring 13″ and “Done” to his Twitter account, but both have since been deleted. A source close Abraham informed Rapoport that there was ”nothing to it” and he is not considering retirement. The source added that ”perhaps (Abraham is) expressing the frustration” with how things have played out in free agency.  If this is the case, it’s certainly understandable given that Abraham has found very little interest, despite the fact that he’s coming off of a season in which he totaled 10 sacks. Abraham, however, will be 35 on Monday, and NFL teams have been very reluctant to pay players who are in their mid-thirties. It’s a clearly a young man’s game now, but there’s still a chance that Abraham could find a job at some point in the near future. He has a visit scheduled with the Titans, and has previously met with the Broncos, Seahawks and Patriots. Denver and Seattle figure to be out of the mix now that they’ve added some players at defensive end. You could make the case that the Falcons could use another pass-rusher, but they’ve shown no interest in re-signing him. We had Abraham listed as the No. 4 player in our Best Available Free Agents list. The post John Abraham Not Considering Retirement Despite Recent Tweets appeared first on NFL Trade Rumors -.
