PLAYERS: Montee Ball
TEAMS: Denver Broncos
Denver Broncos vice president John Elways believes rookie running back Montee Ball runs a lot like Broncos great Terrell Davis. “His running style was a lot like Terrell Davis,” Elway said, per the Denver Post. “We hope that Montee has a career and even a longer career than Terrell had.” I’ll take Elway’s word for it since he played with Davis. I would think he would have a good idea on how he ran the ball.  This is quite a compliment for Ball who I believe was one of the top backs in this year’s draft.   Need NFL Tickets?

Montee Ball reminds John Elway of Terrell Davis

As a quarterback, Denver Broncos executive John Elway reached the promised land with the help of running back Terrell Davis in the 90′s. Elway and his director of player personnel Matt Russell are hoping that a hunch will yield Denver’s current field general Peyton Manning...

Broncos likely won’t keep McGahee and Moreno

Mike Klis of the Denver Post doesn’t believe the Broncos will keep both Willis McGahee and Knowshon Moreno now that they drafted Montee Ball. The Broncos just drafted workhorse running back Montee Ball in the second round one year after they...

A Super Bowl in Denver? Broncos planning to bid

The NFL may need a new location to fill the bid for Super Bowl L, now that the Dolphins chances were ruined by the state legislature in Florida. The league wanted upgrades or a new stadium in Miami, and because the Dolphins can’t currently public funding, it looks like the Denver Broncos are going to step in and take a shot at land the Big Game. The NFL is not afraid of bad weather...

Elvis has left the building, but Robert Ayers is ready to fill the vacancy

Th whole Denver Broncos - Elvis Dumervil saga was unfortunate, but what's done is done, and now it's time to look forward to the future and look to get along without him, according to defensive end Robert Ayers. Eric Decker and Peyton Manning Prank Their Offensive Lineman

Peyton Manning and wide receiver Eric Decker had a little fun at the expense of Broncos’ offensive lineman Orlando Franklin.  During the broadcast of the Rockies game yesterday Orlando was the recipient of a pie to the face courtesy of Decker, and of course Peyton called the play.  The video is great. #bbpBox_331977748576866304 a { text-decoration:none; color:#2F9603; }#bbpBox_33197774857686...

John Elway Compares RB Montee Ball To Terrell Davis

John Elway has done a pretty good job as the executive vice president for the Denver Broncos.  Most of his personnel decisions have been right on. Elway drafted former Wisconsin running back Montee Ball in the 2nd round of the NFL Draft and bypassed the one rusher everyone supposedly coveted, Eddie Lacy. Why did Elway make the choice to go with Ball?  When Elway was studying film...

NFL News: Tom Heckert joins Denver Broncos as Director of Pro Personnel

We’ve all just had a lesson in how front offices turn over in an off-season. It feels like a relatively new lesson here in Cleveland. The Browns have decided not to renew some contracts of scouts that were in Berea under former General Manager Tom Heckert. The timing of waiting until after the draft is apparently pretty commonplace. In Denver the Broncos let Keith Kidd depart after...

Fantasy Football: May ADP Report

Comparing 2013 fantasy football preseason rankings to the current average draft position (ADP) data is not only interesting, but it can also be a very helpful tool. It allows me to compare the common perception of players’ values versus my calculations, which I can then use to maximize value during drafts. For example, I like Alex Smith +10 more than his ADP, which means I can...
