Bye week... 5-2....a game-and-a-half lead on the AFC North...What, John Harbaugh worry?John Harbaugh took it all in stride at his press conference Tuesday October 23, 2012, following a massive beating at  the hands of the Houston Texans, 43-13... His basic take was "we will make the necessary adjustments...we are building a team, and that final result does not happen until January of 2013..  We're building a team to finish strong and accomplish our goal, which is to win it all... so what happened in Houston last Sunday is just another brick in the wall...we'll get better because of that..."Man, you have got to love that kind of confidence in your own system. Meanwhile, Harbaugh's players were responding to similar questions of faith on Tuesday following the complete loss they suffered to the Texans.OLB Paul Kruger: On the abundance of defensive snaps: “It gets tiring. That’s how games are. Right now, we’re playing a lot of snaps; we’re on the field a lot. But ...

  • Hello John did you say building a team? (Come-on Man). Now it's time to play did i say thaat? Now you know what adjustments really would help this team? John start building this team by designing more plays for #27 and #44 just saying because you built in only 9 plays for this awesome running back the entire game there must be a misprint in the game blueprints? what a system! So many three and outs the defense should have just stayed on the field the entire game, oh right they did! It must be the players inability to grasp all the complex plays you and Cam have implemented for this team huh? Last time i looked it was Oct. 2012 and you say its not important until January 2013 well that brings to mind a saying that my grandfather had, it went something like If you can only hear the salesman and not see the product it means somebodys getting screwed! You figure that one out Charm City.

Familiar defensive faces made return last Sunday for the Houston Texans

Last weekend’s victory over the Baltimore Ravens left many fans with plenty to be optimistic about. Just one week after losing defensive captain Brian Cushing to a season ending ACL injury and getting absolutely beat down by the Green Bay Packers, the Texans bounced back in a big way to seize soul ownership of the title “Best in the AFC” by taking down the now second place...

Is Andre Johnson still elite?

Andre Johnson is still capable of a big game. He has seventeen catches for 161 yards in his past two games. With just one 100-yard game and two touchdowns on the year, he isn’t putting up the numbers that you’d expect from an elite receiver. Has he lost that title?. He is only 31, but has battled his share of injuries. That said, he has remained healthy this year and the bye...

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly: Ravens Edition

The Houston Texans hosted the Baltimore Ravens in a game that had immediate and future implications on the seating in the AFC. In this game, both teams were playing for the top seed in the AFC. The Texans had a little bit extra to play for as they were bulldozed the previous week by the Packers and the Texans needed a good showing. The Texans also needed to win this game after coming...

Digging Deep: Baltimore Edition

The Texans followed up their worst performance of the season with their best, laying a 43-13 beatdown on the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. This win moves them to 6-1 and breaks a tie with the Ravens for the best record in the AFC going into their bye. It also gives them a 2.5 game division lead over the Colts. Positives: 20 The number of points the Texans scored in the second quarter...

Texans Injury Report: Ben Tate Has Strained Hamstring

Ben Tate has a strained hamstring, an injury picked up in Sunday's statement win over the Baltimore Ravens. The Texans can probably be excused for having one eye on New Orleans in February and should the road to the Super Bowl in the AFC not go through Houston, then it's safe to assume that something calamitous would have taken place between now and Week 17. Tate...

Houston Texans Are Far and Away Best Team in NFL Because of Arian Foster, League's Best Defense

The Houston Texans proved on Sunday afternoon that they are indeed the team to beat in the AFC. But even more so, with a 43-13 rout of the Ravens, the Texans firmly asserted themselves as the best team in the NFL. Okay, so the Atlanta Falcons are still undefeated and playing about as well as any team in football. But even a perfect record can't strip the Texans of their title...

Texans enter bye as AFC's best team

HOUSTON (AP) -- The Texans needed a win over Baltimore to enter their bye with the AFC's best record. The lopsided victory gave them that, and clearly separated them from the second-place Ravens and the rest of the conference. Still, the Texans (6-1) know they can't be too impressed with what they've accomplished so far. "You can't look at the big picture...

Baltimore Ravens: Week 8 NFL Power Rankings (#7)

Last week: 4 (-3) Record: 5-2 Not ready to completely drop the Ravens yet. We all saw the Jets suffer a major injury, have a terrible game, and then exceed expectations by covering in 3 straight games. The AFC is still a joke and the Ravens already have 5 wins. As much as injuries to [...]

Houston Texans: Statement Made?

Sunday’s contest between the Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens was billed as a likely AFC Championship Game preview. If that is so, fans in Houston must be dancing today. From about the eight minute mark in the first quarter, this one was all Texans as they cruised to a thirty point thrashing of the Ravens; their first win over Baltimore in franchise history. A week after...
