60 Max Power O:
Joe Flacco is entering the final year of his rookie deal and still has to deal with critics who feel he can’t win the big game or be an elite quarterback.
Flacco wants it to be known he is dead serious this season about being elite.
He took the first steps last in night leading the Ravens in an obliteration of the Cincinnati Bengals.
Flacco was 21-of-29 for 299 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. Harbaugh was so excited about his franchise quarterbacks performance that he let it be known.
Harbaugh told the Baltimore Sun Pay the Man.
“Pay the man.”
“Pay him whatever he want.”
“We’ve always stood up here, and we’ve always, all our coaches, the organization, we know what we’ve got in this guy,” Harbaugh said. “Of course he is [elite]. He is a winner. He is one of the toughest quarterbacks I have ever been around. He’s the best quarterback I’ve ever been around.”
In my opinion the barometer is Matt Schaub’s four-year, $62 million deal. That should be the base of negotiations.
If Flacco can pull more out the Ravens, more power to him.
The video is cool also.

Several current and former Baltimore Ravens attended the funeral for former team owner Art Modell, who died at the age of 87 last week. No surprise it was accomplished motivational speaker Ray Lewis who stood out for the speech he gave.
Lewis, the second ever draft choice by the Ravens, eulogized Modell. He spoke about Modell being a visionary for moving the Cleveland Browns...

Following the Ravens QB's stellar performance in Baltimore's win over Cincinnati, head coach John Harbaugh said the team should pay Joe Flacco "whatever he wants."

Every tuesday, I rank the 32 teams in the NFL with a short description of why they've received that ranking.

Went to Green Bay and beat the Packers; you can't get better than that.
2. Baltimore Ravens
Completely demolished the Bengals; looked great on both sides of the ball
3. New England Patriots
Brady is the same, but Stevan Ridley...
Former Ravens owner Art Modell was laid to rest on Tuesday in Baltimore, and Modell got his send-off from one of the best in linebacker Ray Lewis.
Lewis has long been known as one of the most inspirational teammates in the NFL for his fiery, sermon-like pre and post-game speeches. And once again, Lewis delivered in his tribute to Modell, the visionary:
The Baltimore Ravens have placed linebacker Sergio Kindle and wide receiver LaQuan Williams on their inactive list for Monday night's game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
In addition, the Ravens waived running back Bobby Rainey and signed running back Anthony Allen from the practice squad. Allen was active for Monday's opener.
Offensive lineman Jah Reid (calf) was also...
The Ravens started this season the same way they started last season – by blowing out an AFC North opponent. Baltimore used offense, defense and special teams to beat the Bengals 44-13 Monday night.
Joe Flacco was spectacular throwing two touchdowns on 21 of 29 passing for 299 yards.
Ray Rice also got in the end zone, but only ran for 68 yards on 10 carries.
Ed Reed returned an...
I knew beneath all that screaming and yelling on the field was a big soft hearted man.
Art Modell, who died at the age of 87, funeral was held Tuesday. Thousands came and paid their respects including former and current NFL players, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.
“He contributed so much to the NFL,” Goodell said. “He was obviously...

The two biggest plays of the half have come from Torrey Smith, who caught a 52-yard pass on the game’s opening play, and Anquan Boldin, who caught the lone touchdown from Flacco.

Among the many interesting subplots of the Eagles' hosting the Ravens this coming Sunday are the parallel universes of Eagles CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and Ravens QB Joe Flacco...Both are playing for new long-term contracts. Both are coincidentally playing lights out since preseason began. And now both will be facing off against each other, with the winner of the match...
