John Skelton isn’t reminding anyone of Kurt Warner these days. Cardinals fans would settle for Matt Leinart at this point. I’m certainly not suggesting that Skelton should be in fantasy lineups, but don’t go crazy and bench Larry Fitzgerald..
First of all, he’s replacing Kevin Kolb. It’s not like the Cardinals are taking a huge step back. They are going from airplane food to hospital food. Neither are good options..
Second, Skelton was the starter at the beginning of the year. Not exactly a ringing endorsement, but again I’m not saying play Skelton.  I’m saying play Fitz because the quarterback that won the preseason battle is under center..
Don’t forget that Skelton manned the position last year and actually had some success. In the final four weeks for the Cardinals he averaged 290.8 yards per game with seven touchdowns. He also threw seven picks, but that didn’t stop him from putting up fantasy numbers..
You should also remember that Larry Fitzgerald averaged 117.0 yards during those four games. He also scored a pair of touchdowns..
Meanwhile, Andre Roberts also scored a pair of touchdowns. He’s obviously a low-end option, but in Week 7?s heavy bye week schedule, he could end up being someone you rely on..
The Cardinals will likely struggle to run the ball against Minnesota. The Vikings should score some points at home. The Cardinals are going to have to throw the ball around in this one..
Look for Fitzgerald to have a big day. Skelton loves to lock into him. Who can blame him? Roberts should gain about 40-50 yards. If he scores he ends up being a decent option...

Important came awaits Arizona Cardinals in matchup with Minnesota Vikings

This is a big game for the Arizona Cardinals. They've lost two in a row after a stellar 4-0 start. Their offensive line is a mess. Their starting quarterback, Kevin Kolb, will miss several weeks with a chest/rib injury. The Red Birds need a win to keep pace with the 49ers in the NFC West. It won't be easy. The Vikings have a very balanced squad and the Metrodome is always...

Cardinals defense has little margin for error

TEMPE, Ariz. Through the first six games of the NFL season, Arizonas defense has allowed just eight TDs, the second fewest in the NFL and behind only Chicago (seven), which has played one fewer game. With only 97 points allowed, the Cardinals are on pace to surrender 258 points, which would rank as the lowest total in team history since the NFL went to a 16-game schedule in 1978...

Can the Arizona Cardinals make the playoffs?

Coming into the 2012 NFL season, expectations weren't too high for the Arizona Cardinals. They had a QB battle between John Skelton & Kevin Kolb and Skelton was named the starter.. Well due to an injury to Skelton, Kolb was the Cardinals starting QB for the first 6 games of the season until he went down against the Buffalo Bills in week 6 with an injury to his ribs.. Kolb...

Cards can't win without better quarterback play

Arizona Cardinals vs. Minnesota Vikings: Three Bold Predictions

Before the season began, back when we were still polishing the dust of our crystal balls, did any of us see either the Vikings or the Cardinals having 4-2 records heading into Week 7?Come on now, don’t lie.I admit before the season began I made some jokes about Minnesota in my Fantasy Football team preview. I wish I could take them back. Really, I do.But the fact is the Vikings...

Arizona Cardinals at Minnesota Vikings: Week 7 NFL Pick

Arizona Cardinals (4-2) at Minnesota Vikings (4-2) Wow. Who would have thought when these two teams met week 7, it would be a game of 4-2 teams with potential future playoff ramifications. In a year that has once again been full of surprises, these two are probably the league’s two most surprisingly good teams. However, as I’ve said all along, I believe one team is for real and...
