At least one member of the Houston Texans still isn't sold on the New England Patriots. Texans cornerback Johnathan Joseph played in both losses to the Patriots this season, a pair of ugly wipeouts in which New England outscored Houston 83-42. Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was almost perfect in those games, throwing for 640 yards and seven touchdowns without an interception. Color Mr. Joseph unimpressed. "Obviously we had the right guys in here to win 13 ballgames to get up to that point," Joseph told Dave Zangaro of ComcastSportsNet Houston of Sunday's playoff loss. "For whatever reason, we didn't advance. I still can't put that over because I think we were a better team. I think we just didn't make the plays at the right time." Asked if the gap between the Texans and Patriots remains a wide one, Joseph stuck to his story. "Not at all," he said. "Just four or five plays. You take a few of those plays that they made and go the other way, it's a different ballgame." Source: NFL.com

Is Rob Ninkovich the Patriots defensive MVP?

You could say the AFC Divisional round game between the New England Patriots and the Houston Texans came down to one play. With 4:20 left in the 3rd quarter, the Texans were going on a dangerous looking drive. The score was 24-13 to New England, and a touchdown would have made things very interesting heading into the 4th. Then, up pops Rob Ninkovich. The defense throws Matt Schaub different...

Baltimore Ravens at New England Patriots: AFC Conference Championship

I’ve gone back and forth on this one. On one hand, some of the reasons I didn’t like the Patriots last week are still true. They’re still a terrible post-season spread team, going 2-7 ATS in their last 9 post-season games and 4-8 ATS all-time as favorites of more than 4 in the post-season. Last year, they were favored by a similar amount in a similar situation here against...
