Woody Johnson spoke with reporters today, most likely to spin some of the comments that LaDainian Tomlinson made about the team last night on Showtime, and one of the biggest topics discussed was the relationship between Sanchez & Holmes, and whether it’s salvageable. Johnson made it clear that the mercurial wide receiver will definitely be back in 2012. Johnson said that “absolutely I’m concerned” about Holmes’ strained relationship with Sanchez, but remained confident that it could be repaired. “They won a lot of games together,” Johnson told reporters on Thursday. “One is good for the other. Santonio makes the quarterback a lot better. And vice versa. So they have a good reason to iron this thing out. I think they can do it…. (Holmes) may be one of the best players we’ve ever had here. He’s extraordinarily talented.” Johnson said it was “more of a gut feel” that “(Holmes) and Mark and the team will get back on the right page.” “He’s going to have a fresh start this year...

Tickets won’t cost more Green

One good thing to come from the Jets’ 8-8 season is owner Woody Johnson announcing yesterday the team will not raise ticket prices in 2012. Johnson made the announcement on an interview with 1050 ESPN Radio. The prices for Jets games have been a hot-button issue with fans since the...

What LaDainian Tomlinson’s Revelations Mean for the Jets?

LaDainian Tomlinson appeared on Showtime’s “Inside the NFL” on Wednesday night in an attempt to shed some light on the recent issues the New York Jets have had on and off the field. In doing so, he definitely dropped a few bombshells that shocked even the most cynical Jet fans. First, LT stated that the issues in the locker room started in Week 3 or Week 4. That has got to...

LaDainian Tomlinson: Jets Locker Room Problems as Bad as He’s Been Around

On Sunday LaDainian Tomlinson pinned the Jets’ locker room problems on a rift between Mark Sanchez and the wide receivers. He took his statements even further during an interview on Inside the NFL. “And I’ve been around some locker rooms and quarterback-receiver situations and what-not,” Tomlinson said. “But it was as bad as I’ve been around....

LaDainian Tomlinson Let’s His Feelings Be Known About The Jets, Sanchez and Holmes

At least LaDainian Tomlinson attached his name to his quotes. If you are going to say it, say it with your chest not anonymously.  With that being said why LT is probably telling the truth, I don’t think airing it to the public will help anything get resolved. A week after a Daily News report painted a polarizing picture of Mark Sanchez, future Hall of Famer LaDainian Tomlinson...

Jets owner: Sanchez 'our guy,' but won't rule out vet like Manning

New York Jets owner Woody Johnson says quarterback Mark Sanchez 'is our guy,' but also wouldn't rule out the possibility of pursuing a veteran such as Peyton Manning if the Indianapolis Colts star became available.

Woody thinks Sanchez, Holmes can coexist

In his first extensive interview since the Jets flamed out at 8-8, owner Woody Johnson said Thursday that Santonio Holmes is coming back and will be able to coexist with Mark Sanchez -- and also didn't rule out the possibility of pursuing a quarterback such as Peyton Manning.

Tomlinson: Jets' turmoil worst I've seen (AP)

LaDainian Tomlinson says the tension between New York Jets players that fractured the locker room this season was "as bad as I've ever been around, honestly." In an interview with Showtime's "Inside The NFL" airing Wednesday night, the running back says the turmoil started in the third or fourth week and "got out of hand toward the end of the season."...

Tomlinson says Jets' turmoil was worst he's seen

NEW YORK (AP) -- LaDainian Tomlinson says the tension between New York Jets players that fractured the locker room this season was "as bad as I've ever been around, honestly."

Tomlinson discusses Sanchez-Santonio tension

We’ve previously predicted that, once running back LaDainian Tomlinson severs all ties with the Jets, his interview will be more compelling than a Jim Irsay tweet. But it appears that, instead of one epic sit-down meltdown, L.T. will bleed out the details in a series of engagements and appearances. Over the weekend, Tomlinson touched on…

LT rips Jets, calls Sanchez 'pampered'

Veteran running back LaDainian Tomlinson said the New York Jets' locker room turmoil existed all season and the relationship between Mark Sanchez and Santonio Holmes was "as bad as I've ever been around."

LT: Jets rift is 'as bad as I've been around'

The rift between Mark Sanchez and Santonio Holmes of the New York Jets was "as bad as I've ever been around," LaDainian Tomlinson revealed in a television interview.
